Riley and Rochelle is an investigative puzzle game. You need to piece together information telling the story of musicians Riley Stone and Rochelle Robert. The previous game by the same developer is Conspiracy!, and the next one is The Ratline.

Overview

There are 8 collections of diaries that you gradually work through, and you must assign dates to them based on the available evidence. You can check that each date is correct once you have entered it. Once the entire current collection is correct, you unlock the next collection of diaries and more evidence.

Collection 1

Waiting for Love

There are 4 diaries in this level that need dates to be assigned:

  • Diary: It's On The Record
  • Information: The diary entry mentions some song lyrics. Read the letter from Robin Grayson, dated August 21st, which says that Riley had written the song "Waiting for Love" the day before. Listen to the record "Waiting for Love" to see it was from 1990, and it contains lyrics that match the diary.

  • Information: The diary entry mentions a pageant that Rochelle won. Read the pageant letter to see the date of the pageant.

  • Full of sweeping guitars and a vocal so soaring as to bring tears to my eyes the Hammond organ in the intro is gorgeous.

  • A wicked song reminiscent of Some Velvet Morning and Ennio Morricone. Great bells!
    Silver Lining

  • Truly different from her previous work, full use of glitching vocals brings a haunting quality to the song.
    Ghost

  • Stone's 1990 debut effort in 3/4, this is a gorgeous waltz awash in cassette noise and Stone's plaintive voice.
    Waiting for Love

  • A sinuous guitar solo brings in 3 minutes of utterly cheesy Rochelle Robert goodness.
    Merry Christmas

  • A beautiful nylon string guitar solo ushers in the final verse.
    What it Takes

  • Baby's got the radio on and it's surely playing this tune!
    Summer

  • The future may "feel like rain" to Stone, but for us this song is nothing but liquid sunshine.
