Riley and Rochelle is an investigative puzzle game. You need to piece together information telling the story of musicians Riley Stone and Rochelle Robert. The previous game by the same developer is Conspiracy!, and the next one is The Ratline.

Overview

There are 8 collections of diaries that you gradually work through, and you must assign dates to them based on the available evidence. You can check that each date is correct once you have entered it. Once the entire current collection is correct, you unlock the next collection of diaries and more evidence.

Collection 1

Waiting for Love

There are 4 diaries in this level that need dates to be assigned:

Diary: It's On The Record
Information: The diary entry mentions some song lyrics. Read the letter from Robin Grayson, dated August 21st, which says that Riley had written the song "Waiting for Love" the day before. Listen to the record "Waiting for Love" to see it was from 1990, and it contains lyrics that match the diary.

Diary: Pageant Win
Information: The diary entry mentions a pageant that Rochelle won. Read the pageant letter to see the date of the pageant.

In Your Pocket
Attached to a ridiculous movie, nonetheless, this terrific power ballad is truly "our baby all along".
Strong
From its slow beginnings with twin acoustic guitars, to its duetting vocals, intertwining in the chorus, this is a singular song.
River of Roses
He may have a "loaded gun", but Stone is pulling no punches in this heart stopping rock ballad.
Cowboy
Full of sweeping guitars and a vocal so soaring as to bring tears to my eyes the Hammond organ in the intro is gorgeous.
Move
A wicked song reminiscent of Some Velvet Morning and Ennio Morricone. Great bells!
Silver Lining
Truly different from her previous work, full use of glitching vocals brings a haunting quality to the song.
Ghost
Stone's 1990 debut effort in 3/4, this is a gorgeous waltz awash in cassette noise and Stone's plaintive voice.
Waiting for Love
A sinuous guitar solo brings in 3 minutes of utterly cheesy Rochelle Robert goodness.
Merry Christmas
A beautiful nylon string guitar solo ushers in the final verse.
What it Takes
Baby's got the radio on and it's surely playing this tune!
Summer
The future may "feel like rain" to Stone, but for us this song is nothing but liquid sunshine.

Look at the missed delivery slip, which has the date of 5th January, and they will hold the delivery for 7 days. Information: The diary entry mentions Riley's dad's funeral, and receiving a note from Sadie. The note from Sadie mentions that tomorrow will be the same day that Riley left town, and also mentions the new song "Do You". Listen to "Do You" to see it is from 1994, and look back at the "New Place" diary entry from Collection 2 to see the date was 21st April.

Information: The diary entry mentions ordering the Huevos Rancheros, and that the start of June is soon. Look at the Diner Menu to see that Huevos Rancheros are served on Mondays. Her art exhibition "Not Where You Eat" was a stunning success. The audience roared as they inspected the ketchup strewn all over the walls of the gallery.
Sadie
He had eaten at a lot of great places, but there was nothing like a burger in a place you helped set up. He bit in deep and the juices rolled down his chin.
Riley
She stepped out into the cool Chicago air. She was a girl who had it all - looks, a rockstar boyfriend and a fabulous job in PR. She drank it in like fine wine. Life was good.
