Regular Factory: Escape Room is a first-person room escape game, similar in style to the previous game from the same developer, Between Time: Escape Room. You toil away in a production line, but you are blissfully unaware of the true nature of the factory in which you work. There are 5 Steam Achievements, all documented in the walkthrough below. The next game by the same developer is Mystic Academy: Escape Room.

Area Delta

Turn left and look at the wall to see a puzzle called Drain Pipes 10. You need to rotate the valves on the pipes so adjacent numbers add up to 10:

Look at the 4 posters around the ground floor level of this room - each one shows a number of roses from 1 to 4, and another symbol. Go to the machine labeled Controller at the base of the middle set of stairs and press the 4 symbols in order based on the posters:

  1. Gear
  2. Spanner
  3. Screwdriver
  4. Nut

Pick up the loose white cable from the machine beneath the middle staircase, then use it on the machine labeled E29 that is opposite the Controller machine. Based on a card showing Roman numerals, you need to arrange the cables to display the numerals XXIX. Go up the stairs and look at the Rotator System puzzle to the right. In this puzzle you must indicate the direction the indicated gears will rotate:

Continue around the upper level to the Electric Power Supply puzzle. There are 4 separate panels of 5 buttons, each showing a maximum wattage. You need to press buttons to reduce the supplied energy from each of the 4 panels, based on the information on the poster to the right:

Keep going around the upper level to reach the Emergency System machine - this one has a red beacon symbol on the right, and a series of 12 switches. The settings for this machine are based on a pair of cards found downstairs:

Go back to the area just above the stairs and find the Emergency System panel on the wall here. You need to set this according to the lights that have illuminated around the downstairs part of the room. Press in the buttons indicated red on the diagram below:

Go back downstairs and find the Packaging Machine Starter along one of the side walls. Here you must insert the circular fuses so that their values add up appropriately. Across the top row, insert 10, 25 and 20. Across the bottom row, insert 5, 15 and 30. After the conveyor starts, go and find the open box with the hand, and take the gamma keycard. Go upstairs and use your gamma keycard to get into the next area ESCAPE FROM THE DELTA AREA.

Area Gamma

You will start in a corridor with 3 doors. The door to the Security Room will already be open, with the keypad showing the code 3421. Head inside.

Security Room

Approach the desk to see two boxes on the wall with grids of buttons, labeled Wrong. The sheet of paper on the desk shows a grid of letters forming an alphabet with some mistakes. You need to press the buttons on the left grid matching these wrong letters, and a mirror image of these buttons on the right grid:

Look in the open drawer and take out the keycards for the staff room and the workshop. Go back out to the corridor again. Examine the keypad for the Workshop and you will automatically use the keycard. Based on the scratches on the nameplate over the keypad, enter the code 2413.

Workshop

Look at the boxes in the shelves to the right. In particular, pay attention to the warning labels and their relative positions. Now go over to the diamond grid in the far left corner of the room - you need to insert the warning symbols in the grid to match the relative positions on the boxes:

  • Top Row: Toxic (skull), Oxidizing (flaming circle)
  • Second Row: Compressed Gas (gas cylinder), Health Hazard (broken human), Flammable (flame)
  • Third Row: Corrosive (test tubes, hand), Explosive (exploding bomb)
  • Bottom Row: Harmful/Irritant (exclamation mark), Environmental Hazard (dead tree and fish), Electrocution (lightning bolt)

Take the keycard for the lockers from the bottom of the machine. Turn a round to see a safe on the opposite wall that has 4 dials. Each dial has a series of stars with different numbers of points. Go out and examine the nameplates outside the 4 rooms from the corridor and note the stars in the corners. Now come back and set the dials as follows:

  • Top-Left: 10-pointed star
  • Top-Right: 4-pointed star
  • Bottom-Left: 6-pointed star
  • Bottom-Right: 8-pointed star

Take the coin from inside the safe. Return out to the corridor again. Examine the keypad for the Staff Room and you will automatically use the keycard. Based on the numbers over the 4 doorways, enter the code 1324.

Staff Room

Look around this room to see a series of numbers and letters:

  • A8 on the apple
  • B6 on the bottom of the boot
  • C1 on the television
  • D7 in the donut box

Now look at the microwave to see a grid of numbers:

Given the numbers are 3, 9, 2 and 5, the only way they can be arranged into a valid time is 23:59, so enter this on the microwave. Take out the red key from inside. Go over to the snacks vending machine in the far right corner of the room and look at the contents to see a wrench in one of the slots. Use the vending machine and you will automatically insert your coin - enter code C02. Now take the wrench. Leave this room again.

Workshop

Examine the wrench puzzle on the left as you enter the door. After automatically using the new wrench, you need to arrange all 4 wrenches on the grid:

Go to the red box in the shelves at the end of the room and use your red key to open it, then take out the box of dowels. Now you can go to the panel of fittings on the left, where you will automatically use the box of dowels. Use the information on the poster on the desk to attach the containers appropriately (D = dowels, N = nuts, S = screws, W = washers):

Return out to the corridor again. Examine the keypad for the Lockers and you will automatically use the keycard. Based on the numbers over the 4 doorways, enter the code4132.

Lockers

Look at the poster on the left. This uses information that you have gained by solving the last two puzzles in the workshop. For the wrenches, you need to add the numbers at each end of the wrenches, and for the fittings boxes, you need to note the colors of the boxes at each site indicated. Turn around to examine the safe inside the opened locker, and open it with this combination:

  • Green 9
  • Red 5
  • Red 8
  • Green 9

Pick up the beta keycard ESCAPE FROM THE GAMMA AREA. Go back to Area Delta, then go downstairs and use your beta keycard to get into the next area. Follow the dark corridor around and proceed through the next doors.

Area Beta

Look at the two large blue biotanks on the left. You need to rotate the dials so the two are matching:

  • Left Silo: Rotate until the 8 dots are at the top
  • Right Silo: Rotate until the square is at the top

Now press the red button between the biotanks and the doors will both open. Head across to the wall opposite to where you entered, and you will see a yellow line diagram and a puzzle next to it. You need to adjust the numbers to match the number of steps away from the purple source:

Press the red button to the left, then take the floppy disk. Enter the left biotank and read the information screen about part 1 of the process. Insert your floppy disk into the interactive display opposite. Now examine this display and notice how the DNA values are converted to RNA values. Insert the available segments into the gaps as follows:

  • Top Row: TA, TG, GT, GC, CA
  • Bottom Row: GA, CU, UC, AC, UA

Read the second information screen about part 2 of the process. Now examine the second interactive display. Here you need to reverse the RNA strand from the first display and break it into segments of length 3. Then you need to use the circular diagram to work from the inner segment outwards and convert the RNA segment into an amino acid. Click on the correct sequence of amino acids:

  • RNA: AUG, ACG, CAA, UAC, UUC, AAC, UGC, UAG
  • Amino Acids: MET, THR, GLN, TYR, PHE, ASN, CYS, STP

Take the RNA sample from the top of the display. Go out to the main part of the room and look at the big blue poster on the wall. This shows a floor plan, with a series of red circles and the Morse code for digits. Look around the room and find the 4 flashing red lights, decoding the digits they are sending:

  • Delta/Gamma: 8
  • 2nd Area: 4
  • 3rd Area: 9
  • Infirmary: 5

Enter the right biotank. Look at the small green box on the desk to the left. You need to enter the four digits you just decoded: 8495. Take the blue key. Go out to the raised platform and look at the side of the console. Insert the blue key here, then examine the set of 9 levers. You need to work out which levers to flip up or down to hit the target number of 35. This is one possible solution:

Next look at the right side of the console, and you will insert the RNA sample. Now look at the puzzle on top of the console. The yellow post-it note indicates the letters that are common to each grid. The missing letters can be seen on the floors of the 2 biotanks. You need to press the buttons to spell the word RAISE:

Go out to the walkway ahead and look at the Picross puzzle on the ground. Solve this to find the following pattern:

The red markers indicate the switches that should be pressed on the 5 pairs of control panels along the walkway to lower the platforms (top row is furthest away) ESCAPE FROM THE BETA AREA. Go through the new doorway that has opened.

Infirmary

Look around to find a series of blood bags with various volumes:

  • O Positive: 85 mL
  • O Negative: 128 mL
  • A Positive: 163 mL
  • B Positive: 215 mL
  • B Negative: 101 mL
  • AB Negative: 73 mL

Look at the blood type compatibility chart on the wall to see that B Positive recipients can only receive blood from O Positive, O Negative, B Positive and B Negative donors. Add up these volumes and enter the total of 529 into the blood infusion pump between the beds. Take out the blood donor card that appears.

Go to the bench opposite and look at the group of blood donor cards with bar codes. Notice that the numbers on every second card have cycled to the right once. Enter the missing number for Card 07, which is 4682. Now you can take Card 07. Next go to the cabinet in the opposite corner of the room, which will open once you insert Card 07. You need to look at the clocks around the room and notice the relative positions of the colored symbols. Now come back to the cabinet and insert the cylinders in the correct positions:

Take the light bulb that is revealed. Go over to the grid of yellow notes and insert your light bulb in the lamp in front of them. Back out and look at the notes again, and note the path through the pink highlighted notes. Go over and compare this to the eye chart in the far left corner of the room:

Look just to the left of the eye chart and enter ASIMOV into the keypad on the side of the tall cabinet. Take out the Waste Room Card. Also read the medical report, which mentions the drug Retinax. Go over and try to use the computer. Notice the capital letters on the icon labels, and enter the password as TURING. Look at the 5 medicine capsules on the screen, then search around to find a series of 4 medicine bottles and find the one that has more Retinax (blue). You need to count the number of each type of pill in this one, Medicine A:

  • Hypnocil (Green): 4
  • Retinax (Blue): 4
  • Isoprovalyn (Pink): 1
  • Dolaxan (Yellow): 1
  • Tretonin (Red): 2

Go to the keypad for the Waste Room door and you will insert the card. Enter the code 44112 on the keypad ESCAPE FROM THE INFIRMARY. Take the alpha keycard from the hand hanging out of one of the bins here. Head back to the end of the walkway in Area Beta and use the keycard to go through the doors to the final area.

Area Alpha

In the first corridor, there are a series of 5 red buttons. You need to press a combination of these to get all the lights to turn green. If you reset the puzzle, just press the 2nd button from the left twice, and the middle button twice. Now you can proceed through the door.

There are red and blue keypads outside 2 locked doors in the next area. Continue around to a sitting room to see grids of numbers on red and blue backgrounds, which are the layout of the keypads. Go back to the keypads and press the buttons in this order (each from 1-9):

Go through the blue keypad door first and go to the computer screen. Look at the chocolate fingerprints, where the A and C are worse than the E and S. Type the password as ACCESS. Continue to the next computer screen to the left. For each digit you must start at the top and remove or add segments based on the symbols on the right. This will give you a password of 517302. Look at the Work Shifts printout that appears on the printer to the left. If you shaded in all of the shifts indicated, you would end up with this pattern:

Go around to the locked cabinet in the other side of this room and unlock it with the code 5732. Inside the opened drawer, take the folder and look at the piece of paper. Now head across through the red keypad door. Look at the set of 6 screens on the left as you enter, which need to be set up to display 6 different camera views, based on the blue map here. From the starting position (or after resetting the puzzle) do the following:

  • Camera 1: Leave alone
  • Camera 2: Turn the dial 1 time
  • Camera 3: Turn the dial 2 times
  • Camera 4: Turn the dial 3 times
  • Camera 5: Turn the dial 4 times
  • Camera 6: Turn the dial 5 times

Now take the green key. Turn around to see the 8 banks of servers, in the same layout at the piece of paper from the other room. These banks of servers each contain colored shapes. You need to use this information to slow the correct puzzles pieces into the letter slots in the corner of the room:

Take the green bulb. Return through the blue keypad door and use this green bulb in the lamp on the left end of the bench. Look at the image revealed on the piece of paper here. Look at the computer screen behind here to read an email. Examine the photo frame to the left and use the green key to release the photo, then look on the back of the photo (there are 10 people with names starting with the letters A through J). Look at the computer screen to the left to see a riddle with four images. You need to assign number values to each image:

  • Moustache: Andrew (1)
  • Glasses: Francine (6)
  • Stethoscope: David (4)
  • Present: Giselle (7)

Enter the password as 1647. Look at the triangles that print out on the printer to the left. Using the information from the image revealed by the green bulb, and the periodic table on the wall, you can work out the missing numbers for each triangle:

  • Blue: 2, 13, 5
  • Pink: 3, 11, 1
  • Green: 15, 83, 6
  • Orange: 2, 12, 3

Cross the hall and enter the red keypad room again. Insert the missing folder in the shelves, then push in folders 5, 1, 6 and 3. Go through the opening and examine the keypad. You can try various 5-letter combinations and you will get feedback on your guesses (green is correct position, yellow is wrong position, gray is not in the solution). Gradually work out that the password is CLEAR. As you enter the final room, look at the yellow floppy disk and you will comment that you recognize your name. Go to the computer terminal on the left and enter 0L-1V-4W ESCAPE FROM THE AREA ALPHA.
