Puzzle Agent is a heavily puzzle-based adventure game by Telltale, staring FBI agent Nelson Tethers. Based in the FBI's Puzzle Division, you are called to the small town of Scoggins, to investigate the closure of a major eraser factory. The series continues with Puzzle Agent 2.

Directions and Detours

Start by talking to the creepy man about your hotel. Place the logs in the path of the snowmobile to make it pass through the traffic lights on the way to your destination (the / and \ symbols are the logs in the grid shown here):

Talk to Bjorn again, then inspect the fence before entering the hotel.

Room Key Confusion

Talk to Martha at the hotel reception desk. Look sideways at the sketch and concentrate on the whitespace to see the word NINE. Enter your room number as "9". Keep talking to Martha for more information. Pick up the gum from around the room (and anywhere else you see it from now on).

Tapeworm Twister

Talk to Bo in the hotel reception, and you will see a grid like this:

Click on the indicated grid spaces the number of times shown to form a complete loop (the rubber band you are looking for).

Gnegative Gnomes

Click on the gnome display in the window of the hotel reception to start the puzzle. The missing gnome is the 3rd from the left on the top row (red hat, green shirt, body and head facing right).

Arm Wrestling Redux

Go out the back door of the hotel. Examine the screwdriver on the ground, then look at the newspaper next to the dumpster. The winning woman is at the bottom right, saying "Flo's Grizzly Grip couldn't whip me!". Go back into the hotel, out the front door, and on to your snowmobile.

Eraser Factory

Wrangling Watchmen

Talk to Sheriff Bahg, then use the information available to work out the explosion occurred at 8:00pm. Examine the lock on the factory doors, then get back on your snowmobile.

Moose Ear Diner

Find the Fuse

Look at the tiny footprints in the snow on the ground, then talk to the repairman. The correct fuse from the bottom row to fill the gap is the second from the left. Now you can enter the diner.

Rearranging Rations

Examine the tobacco on the counter, then talk to Glori, the waitress. Slot all the different types of food together so they fit on the plate.

Diners and Dishes

Keep talking to Glori to get another puzzle. Start from the bottom left and going clockwise, select the chicken, ham, banana split, onion rings, fish and burger.

Security Screw-Up

Talk to the Sheriff to get a puzzle with 4 photographs. Rearrange them as follows:

  • Photo 1: man walking to camera, 1 set of footprints, car in background
  • Photo 2: man walking to camera, 2 sets of footprints, car in background
  • Photo 3: man walking to the car, 3 sets of footprints, car in background
  • Photo 4: man walking to camera, 4 sets of footprints, no car

Bugs in Boxes

Talk to Darrel and Daryl and you will see a problem involving bugs.

Draw boxes as shown above to box up the bugs appropriately.

Air-Mailing

Talk to Steve in the back of the diner; the solution to his puzzle is 14. Now leave the diner and get back on your snowmobile.

Sasimy Woods

Menacing Map

Examine the frozen man to see a map. Rotate each of the map segments so you can get from start to finish but not stumble upon any of the dark gnomes. Examine the ground to see Isaac's ID card. Click on the lake sign to keep going. Examine the bucket of fish, then talk to Scruffman. Head back to the woods and on to your snowmobile.

Valda's Inn

New Employee Error

Look at the sign on the shop next door. Draw a single continuous line starting from the top right player and ending at the bottom right player, without passing through any of the panes of glass.

Stovepipe Stumper (Part 1)

Talk to Bjorn again, and you will end up running inside the hotel. You will start this puzzle but get interrupted.

The Maw of Madness

Head out the back of the hotel and talk to Bo. You will see a grid like this:

Stovepipe Stumper (Part 2)

Head back inside the hotel to recommence this puzzle. Reconnect the pipes by rotating the pieces.

Cut Your Losses

Head back outside the hotel and look at the sign next door again. This time draw a single continuous line from the far left player to the top left player, going through each pane of glass just once. Get on your snowmobile.

Changing Chairs

Talk to Darrel and Daryl to receive this puzzle. You must recreate a picture showing a red crescent moon eating a green plant.

More Bugs in Boxes

Talk to Darrel and Daryl again to get a second bug puzzle.

Draw boxes as shown above to box up the bugs appropriately.

Super Bugs in Boxes

Talk to Darrel and Daryl for one last bug problem.

Contraband Carriers

Talk to Steve again to see a puzzle involving birds and bags. You need to attach the legs of the birds to the bags as follows:

  • Left mallard to bags 1 and 2
  • Left bluebird to bag 2
  • Right bluebird to bags 2 and 3
  • Owl to bag 4
  • Right mallard to bags 4 and 5

Hot Hawks

Talk to Steve for one last bird problem:

  • Left bluebird to bags 1 and 2
  • Middle bluebird to bags 2 and 3
  • Left mallard to bags 3 and 4
  • Right mallard to bags 4 and 5
  • Right bluebird to nowhere
  • Owl to bag 5

Talk to the Sheriff again while you are here, then leave and get on your snowmobile.

Window Watcher

Examine the bright orange cloth on the sign, then examine the window. Draw a line from the left dot along the top edge, to the third dot down the right side. The Sheriff will then accompany you back to town.

Going After Glori

Click on your snowmobile to chase after Glori. Place logs as indicated on the grid here:

Screw-up in Space

Look out the windows, then talk to Isaac. Draw from one red wire all the way around the very edge of the path to the other red wire, then connect the yellow wires using the pegs that are left. You will end up back in the lodge.

A Quorum of Crows

Look at the photograph on the wall, then talk to Bjorn twice to see a series of photos. A total of 5 crows are shown if the pictures are allowed to overlap.

Grickleback Baffler

Talk to Edvard, the next guy in the lodge, to see a puzzle involving fish, and arrange them as follows:

  • A: 4 fish
  • B: 8 fish
  • C: 6 fish
  • D: 3 fish

Perplexed Sock Picker

Next talk to Skjoldr, the final guy here, to see a puzzle involving socks. The correct answer is C (6 socks).

Locksmithing Learner (Part 1)

Click on the lock pieces on the table, and you will see a jigsaw puzzle with the lock pieces, but you will be interrupted.

Frantic Fish

Click on the sign to the lake, then enter the ice hut, and you will be shut inside. Select the whiskered redfish on the top left line. After you escape, head back to the woods and get on your snowmobile.

Locksmithing Learner (Part 2)

Go back inside and click on the lock pieces on the table. Fit them together into one mechanism.

Snowmobile Snafu

After escaping outside again, examine your snowmobile. Rotate all the pieces so the pipes connect (turn the edge pieces first as the overall outline helps to get started).

Eraser Factory

Master Locksmith

Examine the door, then slot all the pieces together to make one large gear.

Barrier Blot-Out

Inside the factory, click on the large eraser, then select cable 8.

Fire Up the Furnace

Next click on the pile of debris. Rearrange all the objects to fit together.

Hydraulic Headache

Examine the lift controls, then drag the correct arrows on to each row of the control panel:
