Mummy: Tomb of the Pharaoh is a first-person horror adventure, and is the spiritual successor to the earlier game Frankenstein: Through the Eyes of the Monster. You take the role of Michael Cameron, an investigator for a mining company. The workers at one of your company's mines have unearthed a sacred burial ground, and there are rumors of a mummy that you must dispel so that work on the site can continue.

Plane

Go forward and use the laptop computer on the right. Play the audio message. Back out from the computer, then turn left and take the backpack. Turn right again and pick up a cigar from the box, putting it in your inventory. After the plane lands, head forward and through the door on the left.

Camp

After meeting Chris, give him the cigar. Once he leaves, turn left and go forward, then turn right and go forward until you reach a building with a satellite dish next to it. Head inside and talk to Davenport - you will receive some keys to the warehouse and your guest quarters. Turn right and look at the book on top of the bookcase here, then back out, turn right again and leave.

Back outside again, turn left and go straight ahead to the warehouse. Use your keys on the lock, then head inside and talk to Lorrie. Turn around and leave the warehouse. Davenport will talk to you briefly outside.

Now head forward twice, turn right, and enter the first trailer on the right. You will automatically talk to Jerry Segal here. Turn left and notice the wooden foot locker against the wall. Turn left again and leave the trailer. Davenport will talk to you briefly outside.

Try to open several of the Quonset Huts, but they are all locked and the inhabitants won't let you inside. Davenport will talk to you eventually and tell you to find Chris in Quonset Hut 08. You will now find that you can enter this hut. Turn left and approach the table, then use the fan to blow the scorpion away. Read the letter on the table. Back out and turn right, then go forward and turn right again. Approach the snake, then turn off the heater. Read the letter on the floor, then turn the heater on again. Back out and turn left, then go forward to meet Crowley. Click on the statue to the left to ask him about it. Now turn around and leave the hut.

Turn left and go forward, then left, forward twice and right. Enter your trailer and use the bed to go to sleep.

The Next Day

Read the note. Leave your trailer and turn right - Lorrie will tell you about Jerry's murder. Go forward twice, left and forward 3 times, then enter the warehouse again. Examine the box on the floor, noting the hole in the front of the lid. Back out, turn around, and leave the warehouse again.

Turn right and head forward twice, then turn left. Show your ID card to the guard. Now go forward 3 times to enter the mine. Continue forward once more to talk to Davenport, then turn left and go forward 4 times to reach the body. Look more closely at the body. Take the dagger, then search his pockets to find some keys. Back out and turn around, then go forward 4 times. Try to go into the dark area, but you need a light. Turn right and head forward 4 times - Davenport will come and talk to you again.

Return to Jerry's trailer by going forward, right, forward twice, right, forward twice, right, forward and right. Enter the trailer and approach the computer. Pick up the Sonar Maps disk, then turn on the computer monitor and insert the disk - all information has been deleted. Remove the Sonar Maps disk again. Back out from the computer and turn left, then examine the wooden foot locker. Use your keys on it to unlock it. Open the wooden box, then open the small square panel on the left and press the red button inside. Read the journal and take the Sonar Maps Backup disk. Go back to the computer and turn on the monitor, then insert the Sonar Maps Backup disk - you need a mine maps overlay first. Remove the Sonar Maps Backup disk again, then leave the trailer.

From here, go left, forward, right, forward twice and right. Davenport will talk to you here. After he leaves, try to open the door to his office. Climb inside through the window. Head over to the calendar on the wall - remove it to reveal a safe. Next go to the desk and open the middle drawer. Take the keys and read the letter in here. Close the drawer again, then read the note in the tray on the desk. Step forward from the desk, then turn right. Fill your canteen from the water dispenser, then pick it up again. Leave the office using the door.

Now head forward, then turn right and enter the infirmary. Turn left and pick up the smelling salts from the sink. Go back outside. Step forward and turn right, then click on the open window high up at the back of the left hangar - you can't reach it yet.

Turn around and go forward, then turn around again and enter Quonset Hut 02. Lift up the bed frame, then open the trapdoor. Turn on the lights using the lever you can see, then head down the stairs. Go to the far end of the passage to find a locked padlock, then return up into the hut and leave.

Once you are outside, go left, forward, left, forward, left, and into the first warehouse on the left. Turn right and take the duct tape from the barrels, then exit again. Go forward and enter the warehouse on the right. Turn left inside this warehouse to see Davenport again. Go forward, then turn left to see a forklift. Pick up the 2 boxes and put them on the forklift. Now enter the forklift and press the green button, then push the right lever forward. Climb up and go forward, then use your dagger to cut the rope. Continue forward to reach the ladder, then climb up and turn left. Pick up the grappling hook. Climb all the way back down and leave the warehouse.

Go forward and left, then look at the high window in the back of the left hangar. Use your grappling hook on the window, then climb inside. Turn left and open the toolbox, then take the wrench. Turn around and climb down the ladder, then leave the hangar through the door.

Continue left, forward, left, forward, right and forward, then enter the generator shed. Look at the wire to see they have been cut. Leave the generator shed to see Davenport again. Turn left and enter the garage, where Davenport will talk to you again. Turn right and go forward to pick up the bolt cutters. Turn around and go forward to pick up the wire strippers. Now turn right and pick up the gas can - carry it left and put it on the table where you found the wire strippers. Take the gas dispenser nozzle and use it on the can, then flip the lever on the gas dispenser and pull the trigger on the nozzle to fill the gas can. Remove the nozzle and take the filled gas can. Leave the garage.

Turn right and go back into the generator shed. Look at the cut wires. Use your wire strippers on each of the 8 wire ends. Drag the bottom wires up to join with matching top wires, then use duct tape on each of the joins. Next open the black gas cover and use your filled gas can on the opening. Replace the black gas cover and press the green button to start the generator. Head back outside.

Head to Davenport's trailer by going right, forward, left, forward twice, right, forward and left. Head inside and turn left, then examine the book on the bed. Take the bookmark. Leave the trailer, then go left, forward and right. Enter Lorrie's trailer. Turn left and approach Lorrie. Try to wake her, then use the smelling salts on her. Take the tower key from just to the right, then leave the trailer.

Return to Davenport's office by going left, forward twice, right, forward twice and right. Head inside. Go to the safe behind the desk and open it with the combination from the bookmark (28, 9, 5). Pull open the safe and take out the Mine Maps disk. Back out, then approach the computer. Turn on the monitor. Insert the Mine Maps disk, then select Yes. Remove the Mine Maps disk and insert the Sonar Maps Backup disk. When you see the maps on the screen, select Print. Remove the disk, then back out. Look at the printer and take the maps. Leave the office.

From here, go left, forward 3 times and right. Enter Quonset Hut 05 through the broken window. Turn right and take the necklace, then turn right again and climb back outside. Go forward between the buildings twice, then turn around and climb up the airstrip tower. Turn left to talk to Davenport. Climb back down to the ground.

Go to the mines by turning around and going forward between the buildings twice, then heading right, forward, left, forward twice and left. Show your ID to the guard again, then continue forward 3 times.

Mines

You can use the maps you just printed to help navigate your way through the mines.

Level 1

Start by going forward, left and forward 4 times to see the blood stain where you found Jerry's body earlier. Turn around and go forward 6 times, then turn right and go forward 3 times to reach the conveyor area. Turn right and examine the controls, and try to pull the knob, but it will break off. Use your dagger to cut the hydraulic fluid pipe just to the right.

Back out, then go right, forward twice, right and forward 4 times. Approach the elevator on the right. Press the red button, then use the elevator to go down.

Level 2

Head to the next elevator by going forward, right, forward 10 times, and then forward to the left. Press the red button and use this elevator to go down twice.

Level 4

Make your way to the rail siding by heading forward, right, forward 3 times, left, forward 4 times, right and forward. The cables have been cut, so you cannot get down further this way.

Turn left and go forward twice, left, forward 5 times, right, forward 3 times, left and forward. Continue forward into the train car, which you can now use to access the remaining levels of the mine. Click on the arrows to select a direction when the car stops at each intersection. For now, use the car to go forward twice, left, forward and left (through the barricade).

Level 6

Continue forward and right in the train car and you will stop at a rail siding. Turn right, then go forward 9 times to find another blood stain. Turn around and go forward twice, left, forward twice, right, forward 5 times and left. Enter the digging machine. Press the blue button, then the green button. Move the knob on the right forward.

Take the keys, then turn right and go forward, right, forward 4 times, left, forward twice, left and forward 6 times. Enter the train car again. Ride this all the way up to level 1 (forward, right, forward, right, forward, right, forward, right, forward and right twice).

Level 1

Turn right and exit the car, then climb into the conveyor. Continue forward, then climb down to the ground.

Camp

Head forward twice, right, forward, left, forward, right, forward 3 times and left. Enter the generator building. Approach the Mine Fan Switch box and unlock it with your keys. Turn the switch off, then exit the building.

Turn right, then go forward, left, forward 3 times and left. Enter Quonet Hut 02. Open the trapdoor and go to the end of the passage again. Use your bolt cutters on the padlock. Go through the door.

Approach the flag and lift the bottom corner to find a switch without a handle. Turn around and look at the beer bottle on the floor. Next examine the table and open the small drawer. Take the handle. Go back to the flag and lift the bottom corner again, then attach the handle and use it. Turn right and go through the secret passage. Examine the rubble in here. Read the note, then pick up the gun and hieroglyphics book. Turn around and return all the way through the passage, then leave the hut.

Turn right, then go forward twice, right, and forward between the buildings twice. Turn around and climb up the tower, then turn left to talk to Davenport. Turn right and climb back down to the ground. Turn around and go forward between the buildings twice, then turn right and enter the warehouse straight ahead. Approach the box. Use your canteen of water on the hole in the lid, then open it and take the scroll from inside. Back out and leave the building.

Head back towards the mines by going right, forward twice and left. Show your ID to the guard, then continue forward.

Now go right, forward, left, forward, right and approach the nearest fan. Use your wrench to remove the bolt on the left, then open the cover and climb all the way to the bottom.

Mines

Level 6

Back out from the ladder and grab the lantern from the left. Turn around and head forward, right, forward 5 times and left. Hold your lantern and go through the large hole.

Tombs

Turn right to see a doorway. Turn right again and pick up a rock from the right side of the rubble. Still holding this, turn left and go forward through the first doorway. Go forward again and you will use your rock to trigger a spear trap. Now you can go forward again safely and head through the second door.

Once you reach the yellow chamber, turn around and pick up the right urn. Turn right and place this to the left of the anchor point on the floor. Use your grappling hook on the urn, then attach the free end of the rope to the anchor point. Turn right and try to open the door - it will crack and water will start flowing in. Turn around and climb into the urn by the door. After the flood ends, climb out of the urn again.

Turn right and pick up the rug; carry this as you turn left and go up the stairs, and you will place it on the stairs. Now climb the stairs and go forward into a circular room. Look down and use your grappling hook, then climb down to the floor of the room.

Back out from the current statue and turn around, then approach the opposite statue. Look down at the sand and touch one of the spear tips - they will all rise up. Click on this statue's hand to raise it as well. Back out and turn right. Approach this statue and climb up to the top (avoiding the hand) until the statue's head falls off. Now go all the way back down to the floor. Now you can touch the hand of this statue.

Back out and turn around, then approach the opposite statue again; the fallen head will be here. Push the head and it will rise up on the spears. Click on the statue's hand to raise it as well. Now you can climb up to the statue's head. Open the mouth and climb inside.

Continue forward, translating the story automatically with your hieroglyphics book. Once you see the mummy, shoot it with your gun. You will automatically look at the body. Back out and turn left, then look at the skeleton. Take the key from its hand. Back out and turn right again. Head through the crack to the right of the door, and follow the narrow passage until you see Davenport. Turn left and go forward to exit the mine.

Camp

Continue forward twice, right, forward twice, right, forward twice, right, forward twice and right. Enter Lorrie's trailer and turn left, then talk to her - she shows you how to use the key. Leave the trailer again, then head left, forward twice, left, forward twice, left, forward twice, left and forward 3 times. Hold your lantern and go down the hole.

Tombs

Continue forward until you reach the room with the mummy and skeleton. Turn around to the door with pillars on each side. Insert your 4 keys into the 4 matching depressions on the pillars. Go through the door to meet a ghost. After it leaves, turn right and press the obelisk button on the metal plate. Turn back to the left and take the 3 crystals.

Turn right and go through the doorway. Turn right and go forward to reach the priest's tomb. Open the casket, then use the scroll on it. Turn right and approach the chest - open it and take out the statuette. Turn around and open the larger casket, then take out another statuette. Back out.

Turn left and go through the doorway to exit the room. Continue forward twice, right and forward 4 more times to reach another room. After the cutscene, try to move repeatedly. Once you can move again, turn left. Press on the section of dark bricks on the right, and you will go through a secret passage. Head right, forward, right, forward, right and forward 3 times. Here you will run into Chris.

Once you are alone, approach the near side of the bridge. Cut both the left and right ropes with your dagger, and you will fall down with the bridge. Turn right and approach the skeleton, picking up the separate bone. Back out, turn left, and climb up the bridge. Turn right and go forward, then try to go through the doorway, but a ghostly dog will block your path. Use the bone on the doorway, then head through.

After meeting the Pharaoh, turn left and approach the image on the right wall. Two hands will emerge from the wall - place a statuette in each hand, then take the scepter that is offered in return. Back out and approach the door on the left, then open it and go through to the Room of Lights.

Approach the altar and insert one of your crystals in the holder at the top. Rotate the crystal holder until you see another altar in the distance. Approach this one and insert another crystal, then rotate the holder to reveal a third altar. Go to this one and insert your final crystal. Rotate the crystal holder until you reveal a door. Go through this door and approach the throne.

Use your scepter on the priest. After the Pharaoh appears again, pick up the device from the floor. Turn left and go through the doorway. Turn right and go forward, then turn right again. Pick up the empty box and turn left, then use the empty box on the water.

Turn left to see Chris near some crates in the distance. Turn back around and go forward 3 times, then continue left twice and forward to reach a gate. Open the gate and go through. Pick up the gas mask and the bottle of poison. Holding the bottle of poison, back out twice, then head left and forward 4 times (you will throw the poison at Chris by doing this). You will eventually be confronted by Davenport. There are 2 ways to end the game:

  • Give the device to Davenport
  • Don't give it to him (try to shoot him, move away or wait)
