Rummage through the debris on the left. Talk to Daley, but he won't let you inside.
St Bart's Hospital
Talk to the matron several times. Look at the Morgue sign, then talk to the patient on the gurney. Talk to the matron again, then enter the morgue. Talk to the medical examiner about everything, then go left to the patient ward. Talk to Sister Grace, then talk to Mycroft. Look at Mycroft, then examine the night table next to him to see the water glass is nearly empty. Try to remove the ring from Mycroft's hand, then talk to him again. Talk to Sister Grace again and ask her to get some water; while she is gone, remove the ring.
Diogenes Club
Show the ring to Daley, and you will end up inside. Examine the box on the floor just to the right. Continue right through the archway. Examine the clock on the ground. Look at the clock face, then pick it up.

Head inside. Analyse the clock face at the lab table on the right.

Open the desk on the left and pick up the bull's-eye lantern. Go outside and pick up some pebbles from next to the kiosk.
Scotland Yard
Talk to the street vendor - when playing his hand, click on his hand rather than a card. Now talk to the police constable, and you will end up inside. Talk to the desk sergeant. Look at the crying woman, Lestrade and Gregson. Talk to the desk sergeant again, then talk to Gregson.
Look at the inmate in the cell to the left, then talk to Dr Watson. Talk to the desk sergeant again. Next look at the library on the left. Talk to the desk sergeant once more. Now you can talk to Lestrade and he will give you a permission.
Diogenes Club
Show the permission to Forbes, then talk to him and you will end up inside. Pick up the box from the floor on the right. Open the Dutch door on the left. Go through the archway on the right. Examine the clock on the floor, then pick up the handle. Try to free the chain hanging on the right. Talk to Forbes and Watson here, then go left and talk to them both. Head right again and try to shift the beam on the far right. Sift through the wreckage here. Talk to Watson again and he will eventually leave with Forbes.
Free the chain hanging on the right. Dislodge the beam on the right using the chain. Illuminate the wreckage with your bull's eye lantern. Sift through the wreckage again to find a small spring. Pick up the bull's eye lantern again before leaving.
St Bart's Hospital
Show your permission to the matron, then talk to her. Look at the patients up on the balcony, then look at the patient on the gurney. Examine the patient on the gurney. Talk to the matron and then to Watson. Next talk to the patient on the gurney, then move him. You will end up going to the morgue.
Show your permission to the medical practitioner. Look at the corpse, then talk to the medical examiner. Examine the corpse, turn it and smell it. Open the wooden cabinet and look at the clothes inside. Head left to the patient ward. Read Mycroft's medical chart, then take the receipt. Talk to Mycroft, then to Watson. Open the door to leave. Talk to the matron again. Give her the receipt, then talk to her to get Mycroft's keys.
Mycroft's Flat
Talk to the driver (who will leave), then talk to the man at the door, followed by Watson. Show the summons to the man at the door, then show him Mycroft's keys. Talk to him again, then talk to Watson, then talk to the man at the door once more. Now talk to the driver, followed by the man at the door again. Open the door to head inside.
Walk right to Mycroft's bedroom. Search the desk. Move the candlestick, then examine the foolscap and pick it up. Exit through the door on the left, and leave the apartment.

Head inside. Analyse the foolscap at the lab table on the right.

Open the door to head inside. Peruse the beginning of the bible (on the stand in the middle of the room). Pick up the parchment from inside the bible. Walk right to Mycroft's bedroom. Test the pen on the right side of the desk, then taste the pen.

Head inside. Analyse the parchment at the lab table on the right.

Exit the table and you will read the letter from Mycroft. Peruse the directory on top of the desk to the left.

Touch the iron stove, then open it. Peruse the paper, then talk to Dewar about everything.
Lord Lawton's Town House
Give a card to Jenkins, then talk to him - he will leave the room. Try to climb the stairway, and he will return. Look at Jenkins, then talk to him again. Try to climb the stairway once more. Now talk to Lawton about everything. Exit through the doors.
Thomas Pratt's Loft
Talk to Mrs Mason. You will automatically leave a card with her when you leave.
Silverbridge Residence
Talk to Hepplethwaite. Pick up a candy from the bowl on the coffee table.

Go inside and wait. When Mrs Hudson enters, she will give you a telegram from Lestrade.
St Bart's Hospital
Enter the morgue and show Lestrade's telegram to the medical examiner, then talk to him. Open the cabinet and take the hat. Examine the corpse on the right and you will see the rose tattoo.
Scotland Yard
Talk to the police constable and you will head inside. Talk to Lestrade.
Cleopatra's Needle
Show Lestrade's telegram to Police Constable Roach, then talk to him.
Jesse Needhem's Abode
Talk to Needhem. Open the sea chest on the right and rummage throughout it, then examine the tie. Talk to Watson, then talk to Needhem again. Select the watch and chain that he puts on the fireplace, and give them back to him. Talk to Needhem once more so that he accompanies you - you will automatically go back to Cleopatra's Needle.
Cleopatra's Needle
Light the bull's-eye lantern with the stairs. Examine the button and the shiny disk (both on the stairs). Now look at the odd stains on the stairs, then the gaff hook on the left. Talk to Needhem. Use the gaff hook, then pocket the pistol that ends up near the bottom of the stairs. Take the bull's-eye lantern again before leaving.

Open the door to 221B. Analyse the watch fob at the lab table on the right.
- Lower the watch fob into the beaker
- Add hydrochloric acid to the beaker
- Add nitric acid to the beaker
- Use tweezers on the beaker to remove the watch fob again
- Use the magnifying glass on the dish
Exit the table and open the door. Purchase a newspaper from the stand on the left. Go to Liverpool St Station and you will board a train to Cambridge.

Try to rouse Fleming, then talk to Watson. While he is gone, examine the books. When he gets back, rouse Fleming and talk to him.
Thomas Pratt's Loft
Talk to Mrs Mason, then to Watson, then talk Mrs Mason again. Once she eventually leaves, pick up the hat pin from the deal table on the left, then go through the archway. Rummage in the basket here and pick up the sealing wax. Pick up the photograph from the desk, then examine the papers on the desk. Sift through the fireplace on the left and pick up the red cloth. Finally, use your hat pin to clean the hookah on the small table to the right. Go back through the archway and leave.
Neville's Baths
Smell the counter near the entrance on the left. Examine the radiator close to the attendant. Move the pillow on the right side of the bench, then talk to the bath attendant - you will go with him to a new area.
Move the towel, then talk to Whitney. Employ the squeegee on the floor (you will use it to block the cupboard handles). Turn the valve on the boiler. Now talk to Whitney again.
Lord Lawton's Town House
Talk to Jenkins, then try to climb the stairway. Now talk to Lawton about everything. Leave the room and talk to Jenkins again.
St Bernard's Billiard Academy
Talk to Mahoney, then to Watson. Look at the barman, the dart board, Mahoney and the lush at the bar. Talk to the barman, then talk to Mahoney again. You need to beat Mahoney at a game of darts (either 301, 501 or Cricket). After this, talk to Mahoney once more.
Lord Lawton's Town House
Talk to Jenkins. In the other room, talk to him again. Back in the foyer, look at the album on the coffee table. Use your hat pin to unlock the album, then browse the album. Open the small box on the piano. Study the music, then play the piano. Talk to Jenkins again

Talk to Watson, Lady Fanshawe, Watson, and Lady Fanshawe again. Now talk to Pettigrew.

Walk right until Lady Lockridge stops playing, then talk to her. Play her violin, then talk to her again. Inspect the engagement portrait again.

Talk to Hepplethwaite, who will take you through to the next room. Look at the portrait over the fireplace, and look at Silverbridge. Talk to Hepplethwaite again, then talk to Silverbridge. Open the jar on the desk, then use it to wake Silverbridge. Talk to him again, then talk to Hepplethwaite.
Examine the lead pencil on the floor, then pick it up. Next look at the table to the left, then use the lead pencil to rub the inscription on the table - you will end up with a chess move. Use this on the chessboard. Open the panel below the chessboard and read the letter inside. Use the jar on the desk. Talk to Silverbridge again. Take one of the photographs on the fireplace. Open the double-doors to the left and pick up the blankie from the floor.

Talk to the boy on the bench, then to Wilbur Heywood, then to the boy on the bench again.

Talk to the boy on the bench. After he leaves, show the blankie to Toby - you will end up going to Castle Stationery. Query at the door, then talk to the stationer. Show her the blackmail note, then talk to her again.
Show the blankie to Toby again - this time you will walk further right along the street. Talk to the window washer. Show the ransom note to Toby to reach a new location. Examine the mail slot, then use your hat pin with the key in the mail slot. Now use the key on the door lock.
After the accident, examine the ring on the right just to the ring of the woman. Pick up the ring, then open the door to go back inside. Pick up the handkerchief and the dark bottle from the table on the left. Open the paper bag on the table. Now open the reticule just below and left from the door. Pick up the envelope.

Talk to Wiggins, then head inside. Accept the telegram when it arrives. Analyse the ring at the lab table on the right.

Show the ring to the clerk. Examine the ring case in front of the clerk, then compare it. Inspect the strong room door behind the clerk. Purchase the knickknacks on the left, then talk to the clerk - once he goes to the back room, close the strong room door. Now you can peruse the register.

Talk to Miss Lloyd-Jones.

Talk to Wilbur, then buy some bird food from the table. Go right to Park Lake and talk to Hodgkins. Talk to Watson, then return left. Look at Fred, then talk to Wilbur again - you will end up heading right with Fred.
Feed the birds with your bird food. Now you can talk to Fanshawe. Give him the bird food, then talk to him again.
Spitalfields
Enter the Phrenologist's studio to the right. Talk to Doktor Totman, then Watson, then Rose. Leave here, then go further right and enter the Greengrocer's. Look at the shelves, the copy book and the security guard. Try to open the copy book. Talk to Watson, then the proprietor, then Watson, then the proprietor again. Now read the copy book.

Talk to Wiggins. Leave here, then come back again twice - Wiggins will now be here. Talk to him again, then head inside. Enter the bedroom to the right. Open the wardrobe, then change into the laborer's costume - you will automatically head back to the Spitalfields.

Talk to the proprietor, then go through the doorway on the right. Talk to Agnes. Show the snuffbox to Agnes, then reveal the ring to her. Look at the coffee pot in the fireplace. Now talk to Agnes. Leave the room again.
Talk to the proprietor again, then return to the right. Use the kindling on the floor near the fireplace. Fill the coffee pot with coffee, then use the coffee pot. Dump the workbox on the dining table. Compare your sealing wax with the wax seal on the dining table. Talk to Agnes again. Leave here and you will automatically return to the bedroom.
