Easter Island

From the start on the rocky hilltop, turn right and head forward twice, right and forward. Pick up the camera from the ground. Back out, then continue right, forward twice, left, forward 5 times, right and forward. Pick up the Journal and read through it - you will need to review this again during the game.

Back out again, then head left, forward 4 times, left, forward 7 times, right, forward 4 times, left, forward 5 times, right, forward twice and right. Take note of the symbol at the base of the statue, then look up and take note of the glyph that briefly appears on its chest. Go left, forward and right, then repeat this with the second statue. Go left, forward and right, then repeat this with the third statue.

Now turn right and head forward 15 times to examine the rongorongo board. Drag a sheet of paper from the right over the board, then use the pencil on the paper to create a rubbing of 3 more glyph-symbol pairs. Back out twice, then turn right and go forward. Examine the Collins Gas Lantern instructions - they will be important later. Pick up the box of safety matches, then go back, right, forward, left, forward twice, right and forward 17 times to reach the cave entrance.

Examine the lantern more closely, then follow the instructions you just read:

1. Pump the tank 10 times, by dragging the silver plunger on the left out and in 10 times.
2. Turn the L-shaped primer valve on the right to the up position.
3. Turn the circular gas knob to the up position.
4. Light a match by dragging it along the box, then hold this over the lantern to light it.
5. Turn the L-shaped primer valve on the right to the down position.

If you make a mistake and need another match, you will need to return to the camp to get one, then try again. Once you succeed, go back, then forward 13 times, left, forward 3 times, left and forward.

Click on the stone face and the bottom half will turn into lava. Next click on the floating rock at the top left, then pick up the mask before it heats up again. Take note of the glyphs in the eyes of the stone face. Go back, right twice and forward to see 3 statues. Each statue has 2 symbols on its shoulders. Based on the pairs of symbols and glyphs you saw earlier, you need to find the symbol that matches the eye glyphs from the stone head, and put the mask on the hand beneath that symbol (if you get it wrong, the mask with disintegrate). Return to the stone face by going back, right twice and forward. Get a different mask by touching one of the eyes (each time you return, they start from the beginning position again). Repeat until all 6 masks have been placed correctly. From the left to right statue hands, place the masks generated in these ways:

• Press right eye once
• Press left eye 3 times
• Press right eye twice
• Press left eye once
• Press left eye twice
• Starting position

Now head back, left and forward. Click on the glowing eyes. Go forward 7 times to receive a message from the Professor. Wait for a second message, then click on the scarab beetle button on the far left. Touch the large crystal ball to travel.

Egyptian World

Read through the Journal, which has new content available.

Head forward 7 times, right, forward and left. Use the hanging basket here 4 times to fill the cistern. Now go left, forward, right, forward, right and forward twice to confirm that the cistern is filled. Back out twice, then head left, forward, right and forward. Flip the wooden pulley lever up high so that it is horizontal, then pull the lever at the bottom right.

Back out, then continue right, forward twice, left, forward and left. Use the hanging basket here twice this time. Go left, forward, right, forward twice, right and forward. Pull the lever at the bottom right again. Step forward to see the bucket below is full and slightly tilted. Back out and flip the wooden pulley lever so that it returns to the vertical position. Now back out again, then continue left, forward, right, forward 3 times, left and forward. Drag the dock release lever to the left to open the dock gates. Head left, forward, right, forward, right and forward 3 times to cross the river.

After the barge stops moving, go left, forward and left twice. Grab the spear. Turn right twice, then go forward to face a crocodile. Wait until it turns its head slightly to the side, then aim for the yellow part of its neck. Repeat this several times and it will disappear. Now continue forward 5 times, right and forward 3 times. Open the chest and read each of the 9 scrolls here, paying attention to the Gods and their forms:

Close the chest and back out, then go right, forward, left and forward. Open the base of the statue and read the 10th scroll - you will need this information later. Close the scroll and the statue base, then back out. Head left, forward, left, forward 4 times, left and forward to reach a storeroom. Click on the dog statue to hear the words "Seek the tablet". Continue forward, left and forward. Pick up the Mirror of Hathor from one of the baskets, then back out. Drag the mirror over the wall here to see a message. Turn right and drag the mirror over the vases to see there is a key in the blue one - click on the vase to take the key. Turn right again and use the key to unlock the chest. Move forward and open the chest, then examine the tablet.

This is designed to teach you the Egyptian numbering system. The numeric symbols are paired with items that you can count around this building:

• 1 sarcophagus
• 2 tables
• 3 chests
• 4 arrows
• 5 baskets
• 6 spears
• 7 blue ewers
• 8 jars
• 9 knives
• 10 scrolls

Look through the Journal until you find Journal Entry 30, and read the religious saying. Based on this, and the information on the 10th scroll, you need to add or subtract numbers for each of the Gods:

• Anubis: Dog, -2
• Bastet: Cat, -8
• Horus: Hawk, +4
• Knumm: Goat, +4
• Osiris: Pharaoh, -1
• Sebek: Crocodile, -1
• Set: Horned One, +2
• Thoth: Ibis +1

Replace the tablet and close the chest, then back out. Head right, forward twice, right, forward, right, forward and left. Press the bottom button on the right pillar. Now go forward, left and forward twice. As you drag the ball around the edge of the statue here, a glowing symbol will appear for each of the Gods.

Back out, then go left, forward, left, forward and left. This time press the middle button on the right pillar. Go right, forward 3 times, right, forward, right, forward twice, right, forward twice, left and forward twice. You will now be on a walkway that has 8 black obelisks. On each obelisk is the symbol of one of the Gods, and a number. You need to write down each of the numbers displayed here (they are random for each game).

Continue forward through the door ahead and you will find a small room with 8 statues. There is a colored crystal at the base of each statue. The layout of the Gods in this room is the same as on the black obelisks outside. For each one, you need to set the correct crystals. You need to go around the room and adjust the crystals for each statue so they show the correct animal, numeric value and the symbol you saw on the ball earlier. These are in order going clockwise around the room from when you enter. The numbers will have to be calculated manually:

• Purple: Thoth, Ibis, Twin Snakes
• Red: Set, Horned One, Waterfall
• Green: Osiris, Pharaoh, Hook/Whip
• Blue: Bastet, Cat, Ankh
• Orange: Anubis, Dog, Body
• Yellow: Horus, Hawk, Eye
• Pink: Knumm, Goat, Urn
• Lime:: Sebek, Crocodile, Water

Once all are correct, look into the pool near the middle of the room and take the red gem. Back out, then walk forward 5 times. Drag the red gem onto the cobra to make it leave. Continue forward 9 times and drop the red gem into the pool of water below. After the video, back out twice and press the button on the wall to the right. Now you can head forward, right, forward 6 times, right, forward 10 times and right. Click on the writing on the wall to read the rules of the upcoming game.

Back out and go forward to start the game. Click on the 4-sided die to roll it, and your red piece will move forward automatically. Keep playing the game until you win by reaching the gold pillar at the top, then take the blue eye symbol from the wall. Back out, then turn left twice and go forward. Put the eye symbol on the cabinet door, then open the cabinet. Go forward and click on the scroll on the wall - you will see 4 columns of symbols (3, 10, 9, 4). Back out, then click on the small pool on the left. After the video, back out 3 times, then go left and forward. Click on the panel with the moving blue dot to see another video.

Go forward 10 times, left, forward 6 times, left and forward 17 times - you will be back at the black obelisks. Continue forward 12 times, right, forward twice, left, forward twice, left, forward, left, forward 3 times and right. Now press the top button on the right pillar. Head forward, right, forward 6 times, left and forward.

After the barge stops moving, go back twice, then head right, forward, right, forward twice, left, forward 10 times, right, forward 8 times, left and forward 4 times. Enter the combination 3-10-9-4, then press the white triangle on the left to open the lock. Go forward 11 times to receive a message from the Professor. Wait for a second message, then click on the green lizard button on the right. Touch the large crystal ball to travel.

Mayan World

Read through the Journal, which has new content available.

From the beach, head right, forward 4 times and right. Click on the green monster head and take the carving that appears. Back out, then go left, forward 5 times, left, forward 5 times, right and forward 14 times. Put the carving onto the platform and it will change into a chameleon. Click on the chameleon and watch it change colors, then click on the buttons below it in the same order. Repeat this twice more, and it will disappear. Step forward 4 times to enter the Castillo temple.

Head right and forward. In this puzzle, a line equals 5 and a dot equals 1. You need to click on a blue number followed by a green number, then a yellow number that is the sum of the other two. Click on the tiles in the following order:

Pull down the handle that appears on the left. Turn left and go forward, then drag the crystal ball one step to the right so the image turns into that of a green skull. Back out, then go left, forward, left, forward 17 times, left, forward 4 times, right, forward 5 times and right. Click on the blue skull, and take note of the 3 calendar symbols that light up.

Now head right, forward 5 times, left, forward 5 times and right. Teleport up to the Castillo temple, then go right, forward and right to see the Mayan calendar, consisting of 3 rings (left inner, left outer and right). The goal is to display the 3 symbols you saw on the skull stela outside, and you can take these steps to do it:

1. Rotate the left inner ring until the left inner symbol is correct.
2. Alternate rotating the left inner ring clockwise and the right ring counter-clockwise, until both the left inner and left outer symbols are correct.
3. Rotate the left outer ring counter-clockwise until the right symbol is correct.
4. Rotate the left inner ring until all 3 symbols are correct.

You will hear a sound when all 3 symbols are correct. Now you need to repeat all of these steps for the monkey, jaguar and lizard (adjust the crystal ball, go down and press on the glowing symbol on the stela, take note of the date, then come back up and adjust the calendar). This will unlock the other corresponding temples in this world.

Once all 4 temples are unlocked, turn right from the Mayan calendar and head forward, right, forward twice, right, forward twice and right. All 4 symbols on the stone panel here should be lit up, indicating the temples are unlocked. Turn right, then continue forward twice, right and forward 13 times. You are now standing in the middle of the temples at a crossroads. Head right, forward 8 times and right.

Skull Temple

From the crossroads, turn right and continue forward 8 times, then turn right again. Here you need to pick up the bones and attach them in the correct order to the hanging body:

• Right Upper Limb (left side of screen)

Once you are done, the unused bones will disappear. Open the mouth of the skeleton and take out the green gem, then turn left twice and insert it into the hole. After the video finishes, take note of the 2 Mayan figures in the middle of the circle. Turn left and open the door, then go forward 7 times.

Monkey Temple

Keep going forward 7 times from the crossroads, then turn left and go forward 3 times. Click on the monkey head, then go left and forward. Your goal in this game is to drag the green spider through the various holes to reach the blue gem, avoiding the red spiders.

Once you have the blue gem, back out, then go left and forward 4 times. Insert the gem into the hole. After the video finishes, take note of the 2 Mayan figures. Head left twice, forward, left, forward and open the door, then go forward 5 times.

Jaguar Temple

From the crossroads, turn left and continue forward twice, right, forward, left, forward 9 times, right and forward. Take note of the colors in the circular device on the wall here. Back out, then go right, forward, left and forward, and take note of the 4 yellow symbols on the wall around the mural. Step forward again. Now you need to click on the symbols in the 4 quadrants so they show the colors from the circular device, and the symbols from the wall. From the starting symbols, press each quadrant the following number of times:

Take the golden jaguar head. Back out twice, then head left, forward, left and forward. Melt the golden jaguar head over the fire, then cool it with blood from the stone cup. Go forward and wait until you can pick up the gold heart. Back out twice and turn right twice. Insert the gold heart into the small stone pot held by the green statue. Take the red gem, then go right, forward and right. Insert the gem into the hole. After the video finishes, take note of the next 2 Mayan figures. Head left and forward, then open the door. Continue forward 8 times.

Lizard Temple

Back at the crossroads, turn right twice, then go forward 15 times. Turn right and click on the statue to play a game of Rock Paper Scissors, but with a frog, spider and scorpion as your options. Win 3 rounds to win a game - win a total of 3 games, then back out. You will automatically turn left and see the bridge rise up.

Go forward 30 times, then turn around. Click on the pink flower to find an orange gem. Turn around again and go forward, then insert the gem into one of the eye sockets in the stone. Turn right and wait for the spider to drop down, then take the green gem. Turn left and insert this into the other eye socket in the stone. Press the orange eye, then pick up the machete. Use the machete 4 times to chop the brown vines.

Head forward 26 times, right and forward 3 times. Click on the gray bowl and pick up the cracked heart from inside. Back out, then go forward and right. Pick up the page from the floor. Using information from Journal Entry 39 in the Professor's Journal, you can convert the symbols on the page into numbers:

Click on the page to drop it again, then head right, forward 7 times and right. Drag the cracked heart into the yellow bowl on the floor. Step forward to see a double-pyramid puzzle. You need to press the skulls in the order shown on the page from before (from left to right, top to bottom). This is the arrangement of the skulls:

You will end up with a golden salamander. Next head back, left and forward. Open the hatch and insert the golden salamander. Back out, then go forward 12 times, left, forward 9 times and left. Pick up the Mayan gene pod. After the video finishes, take the axe from the compartment. Now you need to add weight to the top of the green platform, so add all 4 skulls plus the plat brown piece of wood from the right.

Turn left and go forward 7 times. After the sentry leave, continue forward twice, left and forward twice. Press the axe symbol on the right and listen to the water drops, which have different pitches. If you number the stalactites 1-5 from left to right, use your axe on the stalactites in this order: 5, 3, 4, 2, 2, 5, 5, 1. Continue forward 4 times and try to take the yellow gem from the skeleton - drag it quickly up and down until you finally manage to take it.

Back out, then go right twice and forward 24 times. Insert the yellow gem into the hole. After the video finishes, take note of another 2 Mayan figures. Turn right twice, then head forward 4 times, left, and forward 26 times. Turn left twice and press the green eye. Turn left and go forward 12 turns, then turn around. Pick up the purple gem. Turn around again, then head forward 10 times.

Sun Temple

Insert the purple gem into the hole, then go forward 5 times. Here you will find a sliding tile puzzle where you need to recreate the 4 pairs of Mayan figures you have already seen. They must be placed in these positions:

• Top Left: Skull Temple
• Top Right: Monkey Temple
• Bottom Left: Jaguar Temple
• Bottom Right: Lizard Temple

One random tile is missing, and the starting position of the tiles is random. Once each pair of figures is complete, its pieces are fixed in position, so be careful as you are assembling them. Also, some initial tile arrangements cannot be solved, so you may need to back out and start again.

Go forward 9 times to receive a message from the Professor. Wait for a second message, then click on the blue fly button on the left. Touch the large crystal ball to travel.

Anasazi World

Read through the Journal, which has new content available.

Head right and forward 4 times, then pick up the log. Back out, then continue right twice, forward 3 times, left and forward 5 times. Put the log over the chasm, then head forward 16 times. Here you will find the calendar control lever. You can set this to five positions from left to right:

• West
• East
• Off
• North
• South

East

Drag the lever to the second position from the left. Back out, then go right, forward 9 times, right, forward, right, forward 10 times and left. Pick up the stick from the rock. Head left, forward 3 times, left and forward 7 times. Use your stick on the beehive to get some honey. Continue forward 6 times and use your stick with honey to collect the acorn. Back out twice, then continue left twice, forward 11 times, right and forward 3 times. Insert the acorn into the depression in the rock.

Continue forward 3 times and open the box of matches, then pick up a safety match. Go back twice and turn right. Light the match on the flat rock, then quickly drag the match to the twigs on the right to see and hear flames. Turn left twice and take note of the figure on the cave wall. Turn left and go forward 11 times, left, forward, left and forward 10 times.

South

Drag the lever to the far right position. Back out, then go right, forward 9 times, right, forward, right, forward 4 times, right and forward 5 times. Pick up some arrowheads from the ground on the right. Now head forward 6 times and turn left. Watch the hawk fly through the hole in the rocky spire ahead. Step forward and click on the bow string to notch an arrow, then drag an arrow head onto it. Save your game.

Pull the bow string all the way down, then back up one step. Move it slightly to the left and release to see where the arrow flies - the goal is to get it through the hole in the rocky spire. If you miss, load your game and try again. Once you succeed, you will hear a rock sliding.

Go back, right twice, forward 3 times, right and forward 3 times - you will hear the sound of thunder and see an animation of stampeding buffalo. Back out 3 times, then head right, forward 3 times, left, forward 11 times, left, forward 4 times, left, forward, left and forward 10 times.

West

Drag the lever to the far left position. Back out, then go right, forward 9 times, right, forward, left, forward 12 times, left, forward twice, right, forward 6 times, right and forward. Pick up the flashlight. Go back, left and forward. Grab the torch and shake it until it works, then look at the symbols in the darkness ahead. Turn left and repeat this to see some more symbols.

Turn left and head forward 4 times to leave the cave. Turn right and head forward 9 times, left and forward. You need to click on the 9 symbols (with added hand prints) you just saw in the cave, which have roughly this layout:

Once you are correct, you will see the shadow of a coyote over the rock. Turn left and click on the symbol in the rock. Turn right again, then continue forward twice and right. After the symbol appears, step forward to see it and hear the sound of dripping water. Back out, then head right, forward 3 times, right, forward 6 times, right, forward twice, right, forward 12 times, right, forward, left and forward 10 times.

North

Drag the lever to the second position from the right. Back out, then head right, forward 11 times and left. Pick up a small feather. Now go forward twice, left, forward 3 times, right, forward 6 times, left and forward 5 times. Place this feather on the ground in front of the stand.

Back out and turn left to see 5 images of the birds whose feathers you need to place n the stand. Continue left and forward 4 times. Pick up a black feather (1/5). Turn left twice and go forward 5 times. Place this feather in the middle slot of the stand.

Back out and turn left twice, then go forward 4 times, right and forward. Pick up a white-tipped feather (2/5). Head right, forward, left and forward 5 times. Place this feather in the far left slot of the stand.

Back out and turn left twice, then go forward 4 times, right and forward 4 times. Pick up a black-tipped feather (3/5). Head right, forward 4 times, left and forward 5 times. Place this feather in the far right slot of the stand.

Back out and turn left twice, then go forward 4 times, right, forward 6 times and right. Pick up a striped feather (4/5). Head right, forward 6 times, left and forward 5 times. Place this feather in the second slot from the left of the stand.

Back out and turn left twice, then go forward 4 times, right, forward 6 times, left, forward twice, left, forward 4 times and left. Pick up a short white feather (5/5). Head left, forward 4 times, right, forward twice, right, forward 6 times, left and forward 5 times. Press the feather symbol on the wall above the stand. Back out, then go left, forward, right and forward. Here you will find a bird statue and hear the sound of wind. Head right twice, forward, left, forward, right, forward 4 times, right, forward 6 times, left, forward 3 times, left and forward 10 times.

Gene Pod

Drag the lever to the middle position. Back out, then head right, forward 9 times, right, forward, right, forward 4 times, right, forward 4 times, right, forward 4 times and right. There are 4 large stone tablets here. You need to click on the symbols that match the animal you saw on the path to each cardinal direction, and the sound you heard at the end:

• North Tablet: Crow and leaf (wind)
• South Tablet: Hawk and thunder
• East Tablet: Squirrel and fire
• West Tablet: Wolf and water drops

Press the button on the wall, then go forward 5 times. Click on the gene pod. After the video finishes, take note of the leaf outline. Back out, then head right twice, forward 4 times, left, forward 4 times, left, forward 4 times, left and forward 4 times.

Turn right and go forward 10 times. Pick up the spear, then back out and turn left. Use the spear to poke holes in the bases of the cacti 5 times to gradually water the corn (the left cactus, the short cactus twice, then tall cactus on the right and its left branch). Climb up the corn to enter the city.

Cliff City

Go forward twice and right, then pick up the rattle. Turn left twice and click on the snake to hear its rattle. Drag your own rattle left, right, left, left - the snake will change into a ladder. Go forward 6 times and turn right.

Drag the large red ball of yarn into the basket on the right. Drag the shuttle from your inventory into the same basket, then click on the red yarn, followed by the shuttle. Now click on the hanging white threads, followed by the wooden bar near the top of the white threads, and you will complete a portion of the blanket. Repeat this sequence with the small red ball of yarn and the small red striped ball of yarn to complete the blanket - you will see a glowing corn plant.

From here, go left, back 6 times, right, forward twice, right, forward 4 times and left. Pick up the drum stick. Turn right twice and click on the wind chime. Turn left and use the drum stick to hit the drums in this order:

The drum stick will disappear when you are successful. Turn right and go forward 3 times. Pick up the glowing stick and turn left. Drag the stick over the 5 alcoves, then take the rag from the fourth one. Turn left twice and drag the rag into the stone pot of water, then drag it over the wall to clean it and reveal another symbol.

Turn right and head forward 3 times, right, back 4 times, right, forward 3 times, right, forward and right. You will see a sand pit with a spiral symbol. Step forward and leaves will blow into the sand pit. If you follow the pattern from the middle of the spiral, you will see a sequence of leaves that goes to the dark green leave, then goes back out in reverse order. Drag the missing leaves from the pattern into the 3 blank spaces.

Back out again and take the brown leaf from the back wall of the sand pit. Head right, forward, left, forward 3 times, right, forward 4 times and left twice. Drag the brown leaf to the indentation in the wall. Now step forward 5 times to see a circular design on the wall ahead surrounding by 7 blue arrows. You need to identify 7 images on the other walls that match images you have seen in this world:

• Turn right and click on the buffalo (left) and the bee (right)
• Turn right and click on the shaman (top left), the sun (top left) and the reindeer (bottom left)
• Turn right and click on the bird (left) and the corn (right)

Turn right once more, then click on the middle of the circular design. Head forward, then back 4 times, right twice and forward 10 times to receive a message from the Professor. Wait for a second message, then click on the central dolphin button. Touch the large crystal ball to travel.

Atlantis

Read through the Journal, which has new content available.

Head left, forward twice, right and forward 6 times to see a map of Atlantis. Turn right twice and take note of the symbol on either side of the door (which represents this building). Go forward, left and forward, then click on the round screen to view a video. Turn right twice and go forward twice, then click on another screen to view another video.

Back out, then go left, forward 5 times, left, forward, right, forward 9 times, right and forward 10 times. Turn left twice and take note of the symbol on the floor (which represents this building). Go forward, left and forward, then click on the round screen to view a video. Turn right twice and go forward twice, then click on another screen to view another video.

Back out, then go left, forward 8 times, right, forward 4 times, right, forward, left and forward 8 times. Turn left and take note of the symbol over the door (which represents this building). Go left twice, forward and left, then click on the round screen to view a video. Turn right and click to watch a second video, then turn right and click to watch a third video. Now head right, forward, right and forward. Click on the screen here to watch a series of 5 more videos.

Back out, then go left, forward 8 times, left, forward, right, forward 4 times, right and forward 6 times. Take note of the symbol on either side of the waterfall. Go right and forward, then click on the round screen to view a video. Turn left twice and go forward twice, then click on another screen to view another video.

Back out, then go left, forward 7 times, left, forward 7 times, right, forward 3 times, right and forward. You are now looking at the elevator control panel. There are blank squares beneath the 4 colored building symbols. You need to click on these blank squares to show the correct symbols you have seen on entering each of the buildings:

• Green: Click 16 times
• Blue: Click 5 times
• Purple: Click 27 times
• Red: Click 10 times

Now click the right button to activate the elevator. Back out, then go left, forward twice and left twice. Click on the right symbol at the bottom of the gold frame to descend in the elevator.

Go forward, right and forward, then take the red crystal. Go back, right, forward and left twice. Insert the crystal into the slot. Click on the right symbol at the bottom of the gold frame to ascend in the elevator. Remove the crystal again. Go forward twice to see a stasis tube. Turn left and go forward 8 times, paying attention to the lights you can see in the tubes as you go past them. Turn right and step forward twice, then set the lights to match the others you have seen:

Back out twice and drag the crystal to the floor of the stasis tube. Now head left twice and forward twice. In this next puzzle, you need to arrange the pieces so the red segments all face inwards. From the starting position make these moves:

• Press the upper left yellow triangle once
• Press the upper right yellow triangle twice
• Press the left yellow triangle once
• Press the right yellow triangle once

Save your game. Press the central red hexagon and back out. When the robot appears, shoot him in the chest several times until he is in the stasis tube. Now quickly shoot the dark target in the ceiling of the stasis tube to trap him.

Head right, left, forward, left, forward 5 times, right and forward. Open the gene pod receptacle. Press Ctrl-G to display your gene pod inventory, then select any of them to transfer all 3 to the receptacle. Pick up the receptacle, then head back, left and forward 7 times. Click on the middle of the display, then insert the gene pod receptacle. Quickly head back, left twice, forward 6 times, right and forward 7 times. Click on the red spider button on the right. Touch the large crystal ball to travel.
