The Silver Crow is a third-person adventure set in the 16th century, where you play as town executioner Conrad Krumholtz. After renowned local artist Theobald Breitsam is found murdered in his workshop, you must solve a crime that leads to buried secrets and links to the occult.

Prologue

Go left twice to enter the kitchen. Pick up the kitchen scraps from the floor, then talk to Anna. Return out to the hallway, then go down to the backyard. Give the kitchen scraps to the pig Eau de Porc. Now take your clothes from the left, and you will automatically get dressed.

Go back inside, then head right and open the door. After the conversation, go left, then head upstairs and read the books in your shelves Book Smart. Return left and right. Open the storage cupboard on the left and take out a bottle of spirits. Grab some medicinal herbs from the left window. Pick up a cloth from the low shelf in the left corner of the room. Pick up the mortar and pestle from on top of the storage cupboard. In your inventory, use the mortar and pestle on the medicinal herbs. Add the ground herbs to the bottle of spirits Cured or Your Money Back. Use the tincture on the cloth, then use the soaked cloth on Kaspar.

You will now end up following the city guard to the scene of a gruesome murder. Look at the easel with the unfinished painting on the right. Also look at the silver crow in the painting. Next pick up a black feather from the floor, and look at the candles. Next examine the wounds, then the face and the blood. Go up and examine the linen sack over the railing. Talk to the witch hunter about everything CSI: Renaissance.

Chapter 1: Ash and Wax

Town Hall

After meeting with Patrician Eysvogel, you will head outside. Go through the archway towards the dungeon, then go through the door on the right. Continue right into the torture chamber. Examine the chains, the iron maiden, the whip and the thumbscrews, then take the pliers from the wall on the right. Also examine the torture device on the wall, the barrel and the rack The Whole Nine Tails. Return left to the hallway. Talk to Bruno, and he will open the left door, so you can enter the cell.

Talk to Lucas Weinzel about everything, then use the pliers on him. Talk to him again to get a new location to visit. Use the map to travel.

Weinzel's House

Click on the window, then search the flowerpots beneath the window to find the house key. Use this on the door to the right, then go inside. Look at the wine barrels and the wine bottles, then continue right. Look at the table and the shelves, then continue into the next passage.

Examine the desk, then open the desk drawer and take a sealed letter from inside. Open this in your inventory, then read it to get another new location for your map.

Artist's House

Talk to the guard, who won't let you inside. Head through the alley to the right, then try to open the back entrance, but it is locked. Look at the broken cart to the right, and examine the axle to see a wheel is missing.

East Gate

Examine the barrels of kitchen waste to see some goose feathers, then enter the tavern. Talk to the innkeeper about everything, including the goose feathers Specialty of the House.

Weinzel's House

Go inside and head through to the back room, where you can now pick up the wine keg on the right Liquid Gold.

East Gate

Enter the tavern and give the wine barrel to the innkeeper - you will receive the wagon wheel.

Artist's House

Head through the alley again and use the wagon wheel on the broken cart's axle Fixer Upper. Push the cart, then go left and use it to climb inside. Head downstairs and click on the painting on the wall, but the key will fall through a hole. Examine the gapped plank where the key disappeared, then use your pliers on it.

Wait for the guard to come and leave again. Take the straw sack from the stairs, then look at the broken railing. Use the straw sack on the gapped plank, then use your pliers on it - you will end up taking the small key as well as a silver crow's head.

Next head right into the kitchen and talk to the maid about everything. Continue into the cellar. Examine the painting on the right, then use the small key on the cupboard to the left. Reach inside to find a locket. Open this in your inventory Family Matters.

Town Palace

Head through the open gates, then go right to the garden nook. Try to touch the parrot Polly Wants a Cracker. Use your black feather in the fountain to clean it Squeaky Clean. Return left, then enter the palace. Talk to the servant about everything, then show him the reddish-blonde curl you found inside the locket. Head right and talk to Frau Eysvogel about everything.

Church

Talk to the beggar, then head into the church. Talk to Priest Murnau about everything. Go back outside and talk to the beggar again, who wants a beer.

East Gate

Enter the tavern and ask the innkeeper for a beer.

Witch Hunter

Enter the Witch Hunter's office to the left and talk to him about everything Shop Talk.

Church

Give the beer to the beggar Ash and Wax.

Chapter 2: Moon and Iron

Hide behind the corner of the church, then follow the priest down towards the city. Keep following him out through the city gate, then head down to the fields. Keep going until you reach the mill on the river Follow the Shepherd. Enter the mill.

After you are left alone, enter the room on the left and take the rope from around the sack. Examine the apprentice on the ground Ghosted (literally). In the right room, use your short rope on the gear wheels. Try to open the door, then talk to the cloaked figure outside, who will bring another short rope. Tie this to the door So Close and Yet So Far.

Pick up both short ropes and combine them in your inventory. Attach the rope to the gear wheels (and you will automatically attach it to the door as well). Now pull the lever on the wall Moon and Iron.

Chapter 3: Fire and Feather

West Gate

Open the bottom drawer and you will get changed. Go right and talk to Eva about everything. Head outside and use the tangled collar to end up with a cowbell.

East Gate

Head right and over the bridge, then enter the executioner's tower to the left. Continue left twice to reach the kitchen Honey, I'm Home!.

Town Palace

Go through the gate and enter the palace, but you will automatically leave again. Head right to the garden nook. Talk to Kaspar about everything.

Market Square

Give the coins to the vendor and select these options:

  • red head
  • green wings
  • yellow back
  • purple tail

Town Palace

Head through the gate and right to the garden nook. Give the parrot to Kaspar Pantone 1582. Read the scroll in your inventory.

Notary

Go inside and try to talk to the notary, but the music outside is too loud. Go back outside and use your cowbell with the street musicians Needs More Cowbell. Talk to the street musicians, but they won't leave.

East Gate

Enter the tavern and talk to the jester, then give him your cowbell The Show Must Go On. Take the broken shawm from the table. Go back outside and head right and over the bridge, then into the tower. Take a bandage from the shelf in the corner and use it to fix the broken shawm.

Artist's House

Go through the alley and climb inside using the cart. Go downstairs and into the kitchen. Examine the ash on the floor (after having cleaned the feather earlier) Dirty Work.

Notary

Use the mended shawm with the street musicians. Go inside and talk to the notary. Keep talking until you have selected 3 different names Are You Sure?. Now keep talking until you have selected all possible names Bureaucratic Warfare.

Select another name, and this time while the notary is distracted, look in the shelves. Select the J-L section and you will find the documents you need.

Town Hall

Enter the council chamber and talk to Patrician Eysvogel about everything, then give him the documents Fire and Feather.
