Santo Island Incident is a first-person puzzle adventure game. Something has led the entire Santo Island to be overgrown by nature, with all of the employees of an enigmatic facility on the island evacuated, and the details around the island and its facility kept secret. You have been sent to the island to investigate. There are 21 Steam Achievements, all documented in the walkthrough below.

Chapter 1

Facility

Wait for the boat ride to finish Boat Ride. Walk over the metal walkway and open the door, then head into the facility. Follow the corridors until you find your first generator Generator. Use the generator, then go through the door ahead. Jump through a series of window frames and pick up a 25 upgrade from the right. Ahead you will find a small pool of water. Explore the first corridor to the right and pick up another 25 upgrade, then continue down the next corridor.

Make your way along this passage to find an exploration clue (1/13). Use the generator at the end, then backtrack and go through the new opened door. Head through a narrow doorway on the right, then climb to the top of the stairs to get another 25 upgrade. Now head down the stairs - near the bottom, you can jump through another set of 3 window frames. Explore this area to get two lots of 25 upgrade and activate 3 generators. In the area just outside the opened door, jump on the crates to the left and over to a nearby higher area to get a 50 upgrade. Now continue through the door.

Go to the end of the corridor to get a 25 upgrade. Backtrack and jump through 2 window frames, then use a generator on the right. Go through the opened door to get two lots of 25 upgrade and pick up the electric gun Electric Gun. Back out in the previous area, pick up another 25 upgrade from in the water. Note the upgrade station here. Explore a small side area near the water to find a 50 upgrade.

Use your electric gun to steal the 3 charges from the latest door. Go all the way back to where you entered the facility. Just behind a large spotlight you will find a closed door. Use your electric gun to charge this up so it opens. Go inside to find another exploration clue (2/13) Explorer, as well as two 25 upgrades, two 50 upgrades and two 200 upgrades. Leave the room and steal the charges back from this door. Head all the way forward to the upgrade station.

Charge up the battery along the far wall to open another door here, then go through. Use a generator in a side room to the right, then steal the charge and use it to charge up to other batteries on a nearby wall, then go through the opened door. Go around and steal the charge through the window, then use it to open the next door.

Head up to the top of the stairs to find a 25 upgrade. Come back down part way and head out onto suspended platforms to find another 25 upgrade. Look down from here to steal the charge from the recent door. Go back down to the previous level via the stairs and charge up the battery so you can go through the door at the end of the hallway. Go over the sheets to find an area of overgrowth.

Main Entrance

Use your scanner on the human growth. Grab a 25 upgrade from the table and another 25 upgrade from the floor next to the upgrade station. Enter the bathroom area directly opposite the upgrade station and scan a growth, finding another 25 upgrade in one of the toilet stalls. At this stage you should have 1000 upgrades in total Holder.

Return to the main entrance, then jump through the window frame opposite. Find a 50 upgrade at the end of the narrow passage. Take the other exit from the passage to find the next growth to scan. Search a small storage area behind to find another 25 upgrade.

Go all the way back past the main entrance and open the double doors. Pick up another 25 upgrade from the floor here, then jump up to the ceiling to find a 50 upgrade. Go back through the double doors, then turn right and go through some more. Look in a small area behind the spotlights in this room to get another 50 upgrade. Now scan the final growth so your scanner is now calibrated.

Return to the main entrance again and scan the human growth again Use Scanner. You will get a scan result clue (1/16) and then an exploration clue (3/13). Go through the double doors to the right, and make your way down the corridor revealed now that the last growth you scanned has disappeared.

Follow the corridor until you see a large water dispenser on the right, then go through the scaffolding to the left. Pick up a 25 upgrade, then keep following the corridor.

South Terrace

Go along the inside corridor to the end to pick up another 25 upgrade, then backtrack and climb out through the window frame to the balcony. Jump out around the very narrow platforms to the right to reach the next balcony, so you can get the 200 upgrade Legendary One. Either jump back around or jump off the edge (and you will respawn on the first balcony).

Now jump around the lower platforms from the left end of the balcony. Go inside and use the generator here, then go back around the upper part of the scaffolding to the first balcony. Steal the 3 charges from here, then jump around to the next balcony and go inside. Use your electric gun to power the door and the power board through the window, so the door opens. Go through and steal the 3 charges back, then use them to power the other power board and door so you can continue. Make your way through a narrow corridor to the next large area.

Dining Hall

Climb up the scaffolding to the right to find a 25 upgrade, and find another 25 upgrade on a bench in the far right corner. Climb on some blue crates on the left of the room to reach an area in the ceiling containing a 50 upgrade. Now use the generator back in the open area and go through the door it opens.

Climb on some more blue crates in here to locate another 50 upgrade. Drop back down and use another generator, then go through the next door. Head around through a frame to the right so you can look back and steal the charges from this door. Use them to charge up the 3 devices to open the next door, then continue through. Go through a frame to the left to find a 25 upgrade, then steal the charges back and use them on 3 more devices to get through the next door.

Jump over the tables on the left to find a 50 upgrade. Return around to the main corridor and scan the chair growth ahead. Grab another 25 upgrade from around the corner. Now make your way back through the previous 2 doors, stealing and using charges as needed. Make sure you steal the 3 chargers from the final door before returning to the main open area.

Go behind the blue crates to find a large water dispenser. Charge up the device behind it. Turn around and steal the chargers from the other door, then charge up the second device behind the water dispenser, and a new door will open. Go through here and steal 3 of the charges, using them on the door straight ahead. Grab the other 3 charges, then head around to the right, through the window frame.

Pick up a 25 upgrade from the base of the blue crates. Jump up onto the crates and all the way over them to a secret area containing a 25 upgrade and a 50 upgrade. Come back to the previous corridor with a large array of wall batteries. Looking at the left wall, charge up these ones:

Now look at the right wall and charge up 1 more battery:

Go back out to the previous section and through the opened door. Continue through the double doors straight ahead and use the generator, then steal all 3 charges. Use your scanner on the growth here, then climb up into the ceiling for a 50 upgrade. Go back out through the doors and climb up the crates opposite. Jump over the scaffolding twice to reach another 25 upgrade. Use 6 charges to open the door back to the central area, and carry another 3 charges with you.

Use a total of 9 charges to open the next door in another corner of the room. Go through the door and find a 25 upgrade on the floor behind some boxes. Climb on the crates, then jump back to the ceiling to find a 50 upgrade. Jump over to the next ceiling and drop down so you can use your scanner on another growth. Now you can go back out to the main area and scan the human growth to get a scan result clue (3/16). Grab 3 charges, then turn right from the human growth and go through 2 sets of doors to the next area.

Office Area

Drop down to the bottom of the stairwell and go to the corridor with the Area Closed sign. Search four separate side rooms here to find four 25 upgrades. Search the opposite overgrown corridor to find two 25 upgrades and a growth to scan. Go out to the stairwell and climb up to the level with a human growth.

Jump over the blue crate past the Area Closed sign on this level. Find two 25 upgrades in two side rooms to the right. Explore a larger area to the left to find a 25 upgrade and a 0 upgrade, as well as another growth to scan. Go all the way back past the human growth and search the rooms here to find yet another two 25 upgrades.

Return to the stairwell and climb up to the top. Pick up the 25 upgrade from the left here, then use the upgrade station to get voltage level 2. Turn right and jump over the tape. Explore the rooms to get another two 25 upgrades. Go back past the upgrade station and jump over the tape here.

Turn right and make two long jumps to get through a window frame. Get through the next frames, then turn left and head along the pipes. Jump across gaps to 2 consecutive dark ledges. Continue to jump to a scaffold, then another ledge, then back to the other part of the scaffold. Continue through a frame and onto another ledge. Walk along this so you can scan the next growth on your left.

Turn around and drop down to a scaffolding to get a 25 upgrade. Continue to drop to the floor below, then go back and scan the human growth for the next scan result clue (4/16).

Make your way back past where you scanned the last growth. Jump over the tape and search the area for a 0 upgrade, then press the red button to open some elevator doors. Go inside and use the elevator controls Chapter One.

Chapter 2

Exit the elevator and step forward for a 25 upgrade and an exploration clue (4/13). Go forward across the pool of water and up the stairs on the other side. Exit around to the left and use the generator. Jump over the platforms out in the open area so you can steal 3 charges and collect another 25 upgrade. Go back to the room with the generator and charge up the door here so you can go through. Use another generator here.

Steal the charges back from this door and use them in the room opposite. Go and steal another 3 charges from the corner and use them on the same door - now you can head through. Follow the corridors into a new area.

Open Office Area

Turn right from the human growth and pick up a 25 upgrade. Drop down and use the hanging generator, then steal the two charges it makes and go through the nearby dark doorway. From now on, you can either avoid or stun the moving creatures. Enter the side passage on the left to find a growth to scan. Continue forward and look in a small wooden building on the left for another 25 upgrade. Go to the opposite building to find another target to scan.

Go down into the watery area and find a 25 upgrade on a table. Go through the back of this area and shoot your two charges through a window to open the next door. Walk through and between the wooden beams so you can scan another growth. Come back through the door and retrieve the 2 charges. Return to the human growth and scan it and receive the next scan result clue (5/16). Use your 2 charges to open the door here. Go through the rubble-strewn corridors to the next area.

Garbage Dump Area

After receiving the next exploration clue (5/13), drop down to the platform below. Use the generator here, then steal the single charge. Go around to the left and scan the growth. Continue past the human growth and scan another growth near a closed door.

Climb up one level of stairs and avoid or stun the moving creature. Grab a 25 upgrade, then use the next generator and steal another charge. Climb up some more stairs and use another generator, stealing another charge. Over to the left, charge up a door so you can go through. Pick up a 50 upgrade and scan the last growth. Get the 3 charges back, then drop down to the human growth and scan it to get a scan result clue (6/16).

Use all 3 charges to open a nearby door, and look inside for a 200 upgrade. Get the charges back and explore the opposite area to the left to find a 50 upgrade. Head back towards the middle and look down to charge up a sensor that opens the door ahead. Go through and down the hatch. Keep going to drop into the next region.

Cliff Canal

Search the area to the right for a 25 upgrade. Come past the human growth and out around the wooden beams. Scan the first growth, then use the generator when you find it. Steal the 3 charges and use them on the door behind you. Head inside and pick up a 25 upgrade next to an upgrade station. Go back out and steal the charges back.

Start going back around the wooden beams, finding a higher area that hides a 50 upgrade. Make your way back to the previous platform and open the door here. Scan another growth inside, then go behind it for an exploration clue (6/13). Drop down and go to the far right, then turn right and scan the last growth. Return up to the human growth and scan it for a scan result clue (7/16).

Go to where you found the last growth and make your way through. Pick up another 25 upgrade, then go up the winding stairs to a wooden deck Chapter Two.

Chapter 3

Santo Village

Pick up a 25 upgrade from the right, then scan the growth. Go down the stairs in the corner to find the human growth, then scan another growth behind it. Continue up the stairs to the left. Enter the destroyed building on the left and run up the broken ceiling. Jump back over the gap to get a 25 upgrade. Jump back across and look in the small side room for a 200 upgrade Legendary Two.

Jump out the window to a balcony, and pick up another 25 upgrade from the left. Jump over the edge here and go around to the left again. This time enter the small doorway on the right (opposite the destroyed building). Follow this through to another destroyed building. Drop to the floor and search a small room to find a 25 upgrade. Now climb all the way to the top and scan the last growth. Go back around to the first of two broken walls and search here for a 50 upgrade.

Make your way back to the human growth and scan it to get a scan result clue (8/16). Go down the new set of stairs.

Santo Cafe

After receiving an exploration clue (7/13), pick up a 25 upgrade on some boxes to the right. Go out into the sunshine and use the generator, then steal the charge. Go through the blue doors and use the charge on a door to the left, then go through to get a 50 upgrade before taking the charge back again. Go towards the upgrade station and use the charge on the nearby door. Go through and steal the charge back again through the window. Repeat this process to get through 2 more doors here. Pick up another 25 upgrade, then find another 25 upgrade to the left of the stairs.

Go up the stairs to another deck. Use the generator here and steal the charge, then use it on the door to the right. Steal the charge back through the window. Pick up a 25 upgrade, then open another door to the left to find two 50 upgrades. Go back to the previous room and get the last charge back. Open another door to the right and go through to open the next door through the window. Make your way back outside to the deck, then through the newly opened door at the end. Once inside, steal the charge back again. Find a 25 upgrade in this room before venturing out to a courtyard. There is another 25 upgrade near the balcony. Now head up the stairs to the next deck.

Find a 25 upgrade in a small dark corridor to the left. Use the generator out on the deck and steal the charge. Use all 3 charges to open the next door, then enter the room. Jump through the windows at the right end of the room. Pick up a 25 upgrade just to the left, and another 25 upgrade down the corridor to the right. Head up the stairs to another deck.

Pick up another 25 upgrade next to the upgrade station. Look down through the decking to steal back the 3 charges you just used, then use them through the window to open a door. Steal the charges back again, then continue around to the left. Use the charges on another sensor to open a door. When you reach the large hole in the floor, slide down the wall to the narrow ledge so you can grab a 25 upgrade. Drop all the way to the bottom and follow the dark passage.

Santo House

You will receive an exploration clue (8/13) as you reach an open canal. Use the generator to the right, then steal all 3 charges from the left. Pick up the 25 upgrade next to the upgrade station. Use the upgrade station to get voltage level 3 Max Level.

Cross the canal and climb up the scaffolding on the left to get into an apartment. Search here to find all 3 growth to scans, and two 25 upgrades. The human growth is also in here, so scan this once you have scanned the normal growths, and you will receive a scan result clue (9/16).

Go up the stairs and turn left to find a growth to scan. Go back past the top of the stairs to find a 25 upgrade and two more growths. Now scan the human growth to get another scan result clue (10/16).

Go up the ramp that is now accessible and jump up to a ledge to the right to scan a growth. Continue further right to find the human growth and a 25 upgrade. Avoiding the moving creature, scan the other two growths on this level, and find a 50 upgrade on a platform that you have to jump out to reach. Go back and scan the human growth to get the next scan result clue (11/16). Use your 3 charges to open the door and continue ahead.

Scan a growth in amongst the overgrowth on the right. Search around to the left to find a 25 upgrade, then go to the middle of the area for a second growth to scan. Find the third growth near the base of the stairs at the far left. Climb the stairs to get a 50 upgrade, then go back down and scan the human growth. This will give you another scan result clue (12/16). Open the door and go through Chapter Three.

Chapter 4

Enter the room on the left and pick up a 50 upgrade. Continue along the main corridor and up the stairs at the end. Pick up another 25 upgrade at the top, then go along the corridor and through another door. Pick up a 25 upgrade from the ground to the left. Now head up the stairs.

Santo Field

You will receive an exploration clue (9/13) at the top of the stairs. Turn left and look behind the large windmill for a 200 upgrade Legendary Three. Go back up to the boardwalk and through the next door to the left. Grab a 25 upgrade from the left, then continue on, getting another 25 upgrade near the end of the area. Open another door and go through.

Santo River

There is another exploration clue (10/13) when you head through the door. The human growth is also just inside the door. Walk over the narrow beam to the right. Use the upgrade station to get the Santo Island Souvenir Souvenir and the Green Room Background Vista Collector. Use the generator here. Cross the room and steal the 3 charges from the 3rd panel in the left group, charging up the 3rd panel in the right group. Pick up another 25 upgrade from the end of this ledge. Walk over the narrow beam and scan the growth at the far end.

Go back around to the upgrade station and through the opened door. Scan another growth and use another generator. Cross the room and steal the 3 charges from the 4th panel in the right group, charging up the 2nd panel in the left group.

Go back around to the upgrade station again and through 2 opened doors. Use another generator here. Cross the room and steal the 3 charges from the 1st panel in the right group, charging up the 5th panel in the left group. Cross the room and go through 3 opened doors. Pick up a 50 upgrade and scan the final growth. Go back out and scan the human growth to get a scan result clue (13/16). Go to the far end of the room and through a new opening. Go down through a water-filled corridor, then out to another open area of the river.

Scan a growth just to the left of the boardwalk. Continue along the river, then up a slope to the left. Follow the dark path around to the left then to the right to find another growth to scan. Backtrack and take the left path until you can cross over the river to the other side. Explore to the right to find a 50 upgrade, then go back to near where you crossed and scan the final growth. Explore to the end of this path for another 50 upgrade. Drop back down to the river and go to the doors at the end to find a 25 upgrade. Head up the slope again and turn right to find the human growth to scan. After you get the scan result clue (14/16), go through the doorway beyond.

Go down a long staircase and get a 50 upgrade from the bottom. Open the door and go through Chapter Four.

Chapter 5

Testing Facility

Get a 50 upgrade from the left, then head out to the large area to get an exploration clue (11/13). At the bottom of the stairs, scan a growth and find the human growth. Go through to the next room and pick up a 25 upgrade from the far end. Now explore a large group of rooms with a wandering moving creature. You can find two 25 upgrades, a 50 upgrade, and two growths to scan. Return to the human growth and scan it to get a scan result clue (15/16).

Go through the large open doorway just to the right and pick up a 25 upgrade. Jump through the frame to the right and go through another door. Head along the corridor and through another door.

Production Area

Turn the yellow valve to the right. Go around behind this large vat and into an alcove to the left to find a 25 upgrade. Keep going this way and find another 25 upgrade, then head up a slope onto a suspended ceiling. Search for another 25 upgrade in an alcove, and eventually turn a second yellow valve. Go around the next slope and explore to find a 50 upgrade. Now go back and up the slope, then continue straight ahead to find a 50 upgrade. Turn around and go the other way to find a 25 upgrade in a broken alcove, then keep going until you can turn a third yellow valve.

Go back down to the first level and continue to see an open doorway on the left. Go past this to find another 50 upgrade, then head through that doorway. Here you will receive another exploration clue (12/13). Pick up a 25 upgrade in this corridor. At the end are two 200 upgrades and a final upgrade station. Open the door and head through

The End

Scan a growth just outside. Go down a ramp to the right and scan another growth to the left. Go down some more to find the human growth. Continue until you see a boat to get the final exploration clue (13/13) Clue Master. Scan the final growth, then go back up and scan the last human growth to get the final scan result clue (16/16). Get into the boat.
