Metaphobia is a murder mystery adventure game. You play as Richard Elmstat, investigating the recent death of your father, who was murdered shortly after being elected town mayor. There are 6 Steam Achievements, all documented in the walkthrough below.

Day 1

Home

Talk to Patricia about everything. Pick up the scissors from the floor and the paintbrush from the table. Open the small cupboard and you will take out a knife. Use your phone on yourself, then call Judy. Click on the box on top of the wardrobe 10 times Have you seen this man?. Go through your front door to leave.

Father's Office

Look at the poster on the wall to see the word "PEACE" in capital letters. Search the desk drawers to find some hydrogen peroxide. Search the bookshelves on the right to get an old phone book. Now examine the small shelf on the wall. Rearrange the books so they spell PEACE from left to right:

  • Pride and Prejudice
  • Elephant Man, The
  • Animal Farm
  • Catcher in the Rye, The
  • Electra

A secret compartment will open in the floor Bookworm. Take the sealed documents from here. Open them and read them in your inventory. Leave the office.

Judy

Talk to Judy about everything. Give the documents to Judy, then keep talking until you receive an access card from her.

Raban's Office

Use your money on the coffee machine to the left, then take the coffee and put it on the radiator next to the elevator. Walk just to the left, then pick up the coffee and it will have completely dried out. In your inventory, use the scissors on the paintbrush, then use the bristles on the dried coffee - this will create a fake mustache. Use this on yourself. Now you can show the access card to the receptionist. Press the button next to the elevator, then get inside.

Try to open the door here, but it is locked. Open the fuse box and use it to turn off the power. Now you can open the door to enter the office. Take the black phone from the desk, then leave the office. After the men leave, return to the elevator, then leave the building.

Judy

Talk to Judy about everything.

Library

Try to use the computer, but you need a membership card. Talk to the librarian about everything, then talk to the old man about everything. Give him your phone book, and he will lend you his library card. Show this to the librarian, then use the computer. Return the library card to the old man before leaving.

Judy

Talk to Judy about everything.

Procter

Knock on the door - the man inside needs help. Head down the street to leave.

Pharmacy

Talk to the pharmacist twice, but she won't give you the medicine. Talk to the man on the right, then steal the employee card from his back pocket. Show the employee card to the pharmacist and talk until you receive the medicine. Leave by heading right.

Procter

Knock on the door and you will head inside. Give the medicine to the man, then talk to him about everything. Return outside and leave.

Prison Hospital

Talk to the guard, but he won't let you inside.

Judy

Talk to Judy until you receive some hospital papers.

Prison Hospital

Show the hospital papers to the guard, then head right. Approach the glass wall and talk to Crazy Mike about everything. Leave the cell area, then leave the hospital.

Judy

Talk to Judy about everything.

Mike's Apartment

Kick the table, then take the broken table leg. Use this on the exposed brick wall. Reach into the hole to get a map, then examine it in your inventory. Now leave the apartment.

Hut

Go inside and pick up the piece of rope/twine from the floor. Search the shelves on the right to get a wax block, wooden stick and wooden board. In your inventory, combine the stick and board to make a small fire. Use the wax block on the fire to melt the wax, then attach the piece of twine to create a candle. Light your candle using the fire. Move the rug, then open the trapdoor and climb down.

Place the candle on the table to the left, then pick up the 2 pieces of paper and examine them in your inventory. Climb back up and head outside, then leave.

Library

Show your 2 pieces of paper to the librarian. Use the computer before leaving.

University

Look at both notes on the noticeboard - you will see Bryan Kosloff's number. Go through the doors on the left and talk to Professor Blake. Show him the pieces of paper, then leave the office. After automatically phoning Judy, leave the university.

Home

You will automatically go to sleep.

Day 2

Home

You will automatically talk to Patricia.

University

Look at the new note on the noticeboard - you will see Professor Blake's number. Leave the office, then use your phone to call Blake. Once he leaves the office, use your knife on the electrical breaker box on the right wall. Take a loose wire from the box and use it on the doors, then enter the office.

Take the blood and skin samples from the right bench and look at them in your inventory. Take the paper from the wooden desk and look at it in your inventory to see the translated symbols. Take the small picture from the wooden desk and examine it to find a key. Use this key on the left door, then head through. Take the diary from the table in here. Use your phone to call Kosloff. Now leave the university.

Library

Talk to Kosloff, then give him the blood and skin samples, followed by some money. Leave the library.

Home

You will automatically go to sleep.

Day 3

Home

You will automatically talk to Patricia.

Library

Talk to Kosloff, then use the computer. Leave the library.

Airport

You will automatically fly to Iran.

Day 4

Streets

Talk to the boy, then walk up the street and through the archway. Talk to the man on the left and offer to help him. Look at the green mold just to the right of the archway, then use your knife on it. Use the green mold on the hanging meat. Talk to the man on the left again. Now give him some money in exchange for rials and cheese. Return out to the street and give some rials to the boy, then walk down to find the museum.

Museum

Take a coin out of the water fountain and use it on the vending machine to get a bottle of water. Pick up the brochure from the coffee table. Talk to the man on the sofa about everything. Talk to the receptionist, then give him some rials so you can continue left into the museum.

Try to read the book on the middle pedestal, but you will set off an alarm. Return right and talk to the man on the sofa again to get his camera. Enter the museum again.

Stand in the corner of the room near the alarm box. Wait until the guard is looking away, then put the camera on the shelf here. Turn the camera on, then try to take the book again. Go back and get the camera, then examine it in your inventory to see the alarm box code. With the guard looking away, use the alarm box to disable the alarm. Now put your cheese into the bag held by the woman on the left. When the guard goes over to her, take the book. Leave this room, then examine the book in your inventory. Return the camera to the man on the sofa. Leave and you will automatically go to the ruins.

Ruins

Look at the large stone on the left, then use your bottled water on it. Look at the symbols revealed on the stone. Use your translated symbols on them, then in the close-up view, use the Draconium book on the symbols. Now click the symbols in this order:

You will get an achievement for getting this correct on the first attempt Ancient knowledge. Go down the stairs. Look at the pictures on the wall, then take the parchment from the niche on the left. Read this in your inventory. Leave the ruins and you will automatically fly home.

Day 5

Home

Pick up the letter from the floor near your front door, and read it in your inventory. Leave, and you will automatically go to a new location.

Alley

During the conversation, you will receive a boat key, then automatically leave.

City Docks

Talk to the men twice. In your inventory, combine the peroxide with the medicine, then give this to the men. Use the boat key on the boat

Island

Look at the symbols on the stone. Use your translated symbols on them, then in the close-up view, use the parchment on the symbols. Now click the symbols in this order:
