Elroy and the Aliens is a third-person sci-fi adventure set in 1993. You play as Elroy, a rocket engineer whose father disappeared 18 years ago under mysterious circumstances, teaming up with investigative reporter Peggie, on a journey that starts with the discovery of a strange crystal and an enigmatic message.

Chapter 1: Launching and Landing

Home

Try to open the door. Pick up the keys from the sofa, then use them on the door. The actual chapter will now begin.

Open the toilet door and pick up the broom. Next get the remote control from the shelves on the left. Take the Slope City Chronicle newspaper from the bench in the foreground, and the propulsion module from the workbench to the right. Now head upstairs.

Pick up the guidance module, which is under the satellite dish. Also pick up the fuel canister from the right. Pick up the spout that falls off, then reattach it to the fuel canister in your inventory. Over to the left, add your propulsion module to the fuel module (base of the rocket). Now add the guidance module. Use the fuel canister on the rocket. After the conversation with Peggie, use the remote control on the rocket. Head downstairs to the lab, then to the living room and out through the front door. Head along the street to see the map.

Sierra's Junkyard

Head to the right and pick up the old tire. Back at the gate again, use the old tire on the hook. Push the hook 5 times Captain Pendulum. Use the pulley on the left, rotating it until the weight is at the very top. Now pull the lever to open the gate, and head inside.

Pick up the bucket on the left. Search the old purses as well to get a fake Armandi purse. Enter the shed and talk to Sierra. Ask her what she is working on and suggest a name for her game I Want My Name in the Credits. Keep talking to get a circuit board. Go back outside and leave the junkyard.

Home

Go inside and open the fridge, then take out the Wundershake. Go upstairs and offer this to Peggie Good Host. Now use the circuit board on the rocket. Try to use everything in your inventory on the bird Call the Animal Protection Agency. Go back downstairs and put your newspaper in the fireplace. Go out the front of your house again and talk to Mrs Kandinsky about everything to get some matches. Now go back inside and use the matches in the fireplace. Go back upstairs and use the remote control on the rocket again.

After the explosion, head upstairs and pull the rocket out of the hole. Go downstairs again and look at the hole in the roof. Use the broom on the hole. Press the button in the middle of the mysterious box.

Chapter 2: Looking for Answers

Home

Take the green Haani Pentagon book from the shelves on the left. Head out the front of your house again and you will talk to Mrs Kandinsky. Give her the broom Neighbor of the Year. Head into town.

Slope City News

When you are looking at the book, click on the inscription at the bottom of one of the pages. You will automatically get some pencils. Click on the 3 articles on the computer, and you will end up with a map.

Train Station

Place your purse on the X in the middle of the floor, then walk over towards the left. Talk to the robot and answer "No" so the bag is destroyed (1/3). Talk to the ticket teller on the left about the missing train station. Go back out of the station and talk to the nerdy lady about everything.

Sierra's Junkyard

Enter the shed and talk to Sierra about everything. Take the hose from the wall on the right. Go back out and examine the old generator, then take another purse from the left.

Train Station

Go inside and place your purse on the X again, then walk left. Talk to the robot and answer "No" so the bag is destroyed (2/3). Head towards the tracks by going down to the right. Pick up the spray can. Talk to the conductor on the right about the missing train station. Now talk to the homeless guy on the left about everything. Head back out the front of the train station and talk to the Slope City Reporter about Losantos.

Sierra's Junkyard

Grab another purse.

Train Station

Put your pencils into the purse. Place the purse on the X again, then walk left. Talk to the robot and answer "No" so the bag is destroyed (3/3) Fashionista. Pick up the diamond.

Town Square

Talk to Charlie - he needs his tinfoil hat before he will help you.

Basketball Court

Talk to Queen Terri and offer her your crown.

Home

Go inside and into the lab. In your inventory, use the spray can on the bucket. Open the laser cutter on the right and insert your diamond. Now use the golden bucket on the laser cutter to create a painted bucket crown. Back outside, talk to Mrs Kandinsky about everything (including the crystal).

Basketball Court

Give the painted bucket crown to Queen Terri in exchange for the tinfoil hat.

Town Square

Give the tinfoil hat to Charlie, then talk about everything to receive a space blanket, a compass and Charlie's disk.

Sierra's Junkyard

Enter the shed and talk to Sierra about Charlie's disk. Put your space blanket on the old generator outside.

Wanderbrust Tower

Use the hose on Wanderbrust's car, then use the empty fuel canister on the car's fuel tank to fill it with diesel.

Sierra's Junkyard

Use your canister with diesel on the old generator. Enter the shed and talk to Sierra again.

Slope City News

Talk to Peggie.

Chapter 3: The Crystal

Wanderbrust Tower

Head inside and talk to the receptionist, then enter the elevator. You are currently at the lobby level. Press the W button, but the elevator will stop at level 13 and you will have a vision. Return to the elevator and press the W button again, then get out of the elevator. Talk to the secretary about everything, then return to the elevator.

Use the elevator to go to floor 12, and exit the elevator. Click on the doors to Motiviti It Doesn't Get More Meta Than This. Now visit each of the other floors from 17 down to 1 and get out on each level Every. Single. Floor.. Head down to the lobby, then go outside and leave the area.

Talk to Elroy.

Sierra's Junkyard

Enter the shed and use the voice recorder on the radio.

Town Square

Go to the right side of the theater and go through the backstage entrance into a powder room. Continue left to find the backstage area. Talk to the theater tech and say you are Brandon Summers. Talk to him about everything else, then walk onto the stage. Return to the powder room and collect the alien costume, dress and blonde wig. Also pick up the script and read through it carefully.

Go left twice into a storage room. Open the box on the right and take the robot manual from inside, then read it in your inventory to see a power code. Pick up the bottle of fake blood. Now open the panel on the side of the robot and examine it. You need to drag from the top right over the path you saw in the manual, ending at the bottom right:

Talk to Chauncey here, then go right and talk to him again - he needs a costume to go on stage. Head on stage and talk to the director again before leaving the theater through the powder room.

Over in the left part of the town square, talk to the painter and you will get a red crayon. Return to the backstage area again. Combine your fake blood and blonde wig, then use this on Chauncey. Also use the red crayon and the dress to complete the costume. Tell Chauncey to go on stage and you will follow him out. Now you need to adjust the scenery using the buttons to the right - change the left backdrop to a octagonal portal, and the right backdrop to a rocket. Wear the alien costume.

Save your game. Talk to the director and start the scene, then choose any random incorrect line wrong. Repeat this a total of 5 times Learn Your Lines!. Load your game.

Talk to the director and start the scene, then use these lines:

  • Oh, dear Victoria. What is it that gave these trees a voice...
  • I have seen a thousand worlds. I have travelled the stars far and wide.
  • I never expected to love a human.
  • Victoria... your father...
  • The portal on Earth is gone. I cannot go back. Not by wormhole.

  • One last time, we'll lay down today.

There is an achievement for getting this correct on the first attempt Line Rider. Talk to the theater tech, then use the mixing station. You need to create a recording that says "This is Wanderbrust she can come in".

Wanderbrust Tower

Use the elevator to go up to floor W. Pick up the compact mirror on the secretary's desk, and use it on the window. Go through the doors on the right. Look at every group of books in the shelves to the far right Bookworm. Now search the desk to find a note. Search the M section of the shelves again and you will find the correct book, which contains the crystal.

Talk to Elroy.

Train Station

Once the car stops, use your matches on the darkness. Open the bag, then take out the flowers, handcuffs, audio CD, underwear and then wrench. Use the wrench on the panel to the left, then turn it counterclockwise on each of the bolts. Now examine the lock mechanism. Spin the left dial until the gap is between the 2 brackets, then spin the right dial to escape.

Chapter 4: Into the Desert

Dream

Click on the hoop twice to throw the basketball.

Train

Go left until you find Sasha and Terri. Talk to Sasha about everything, then talk to Terri about everything. Use your voice recorder on Terri, then talk to her again and select to blackmail her. Head right and you will sit in your seat again. When the conductor heads past, go right until you find Peggie. Pull the emergency brake just to the left.

Desert

Go right until you reach the train station, then head into town.

Diner

Go inside and pick up the shovel from the floor, and the note from behind the bar, which turns out to be a bar tab. Interact with the chessboard to the right Chessmaster.

Tower

Open the middle cupboard to find an audio tape, then pick it up. Use this with your voice recorder, then use it in your inventory to listen to it.

Church

Go inside the church. Pick up the note from the floor and you will work out that you are looking for Jeremiah. Back outside, click on the cross that has the initials JQS. Use your shovel on this grave So That I Can Feel The Rain. Open the coffin, then search the jacket and take the notebook. Look at this in your inventory, then turn the pages until you find a map in pieces. Drag these around until they all lock into place.

Tower

Climb up the tower and use the binoculars. Turn around to a heading of 270 degrees, then click on the butte.

Valley

Head down along the path.

Chapter 5: The Forbidden Valley

Valley

Just to the right, touch the wobbly sign twice, then take the iron rod. Return left to the base camp. Examine the crate, then use your iron rod on it to get it open. Take the robot head from inside the crate. Head back down along the path.

Examine the robot buried in the sand, then use your robot head on it. Drag the 3 colored cables to their matching ones. Now examine the open panel on the robot - drag the pins around so they are in the larger orange holes and none of the wires are crossed. Talk to Howard about everything.

Head right towards the minefield, then go back and talk to Howard about the minefield (twice) and he will agree to help you.

Save your game. Guide Howard directly into a mine 5 times Mine Magnet. Load your game.

Guide Howard through each of the 4 sections of the minefield, from the blue starting point to the next blue finishing point, without stepping on any of the red mines.

There is an achievement for getting through without stepping on any mines Flawless Footwork. You will end up at the Haani Pentagon.

Haani Pentagon

Pick up the tablet (1/x) from the ground at the base of the pentagon. Talk to Peggie and ask to see your dad's book 10 times Haani Pentagon Scholar.

Terraces

Pick up the tablet (2/x) from the top terrace. Use your iron rod to open the crate on the right, and take out the bottle of strawberry cola. Climb down and pick up the ancient bowl from the bottom left.

Cacti

Stand the table up on the left, then pick up the radio that you uncover. In your inventory, combine the bottle of soda with the ancient bowl, then put this on the table. Now you can examine the monolith in the center of the area. Insert your crystal into the middle, then rotate the rings so the red beam can reach the sensor at the top.

Boulders

Pick up another tablet (3/x), and the cloth from the left. Try to move the large boulders blocking the monolith.

Haani Pentagon

Talk to Howard about everything, then ask him to follow you.

Boulders

Talk to him again and ask him to self-destruct. Examine the monolith here. Insert your crystal into the middle, then rotate the rings so the blue and green beams can reach their respective sensors.

Spiral

Take the wires from the table. In your inventory, combine the cloth with the iron rod, then use it on the oil stain next to the truck. Open the crate on the right and take out the battery, then pick up the tablet from the lower section. Examine the monolith here. Insert your crystal into the middle, then rotate the rings so the blue and green beams can reach their respective sensors.

Well

In your inventory, combine the wire and rechargeable battery, then use this on the solar station.

Terraces

Examine the console, which is the stone structure with square holes. You need to insert your stone tablets into the slots from left to right. In general a circle with a line attached equals 1, and you need to enter the tablets in order from 1-6 (2 circles joined by a line equals 6). Examine the monolith here. Insert your crystal into the middle, then rotate the rings so the red, blue and green beams can reach their respective sensors.

Well

Examine the solar station again to retrieve your charged battery. Put this into your battery. Also combine your matches with your iron rod torch. Examine the well and then descend to the bottom. Try to walk to the right, but the bats will stop you. Use the radio on the bats, then adjust the frequency to 99.5 to scare the bats away. Examine the monolith here. Insert your crystal into the middle, then rotate the rings so the red, blue and green beams can reach their respective sensors. Climb back up to the surface.

Haani Pentagon

Examine the panel on the door. You need to solve a series of 3 puzzles where the numbers on the tiles must match the number of adjacent tiles:

Head inside and examine the mysterious cylinder to the far right. Insert your crystal to activate the pillar.

Save your game. Examine the note on the left wall, then drag the letters to complete the 3 phrases: His eyes are lightning, his roar is a flood, his breath is fire. Load your game.

Without examining the note, go to the pillar and set the symbols as follows from top to bottom:

  • Lightning
  • Water
  • Fire

The portal will activate Divine Inspiration.

Chapter 6: Another World

Alien Town

Walk over to the left glowing circle, then over to the right one. You now need to answer 3 questions by solving 3 simple maths puzzles. The correct options are right, middle, left and middle. Now head through the door to the right. Use the elevator to ride up.

Try to talk to the guards. Put your matches, compass and recorder on the altar. Pick up the eyes from where the altar was, then head left.

Talk to the panhandler and give him three of your squishy eyes to learn that "Lo" means 4. Talk to the mother and kid on the right to learn the words for 1, 2 and 3, then learn some more words by talking to the tourists on the left. Walk up on the left to reach the cliff. Talk to the rock aliens twice, then reply to them by saying "Lo", "Lo" and "Takata".

Climb up the ladder inside the tree and talk to the meditating alien. Climb back down the ladder, then head right to the mountain and down the path to the left. Talk to the border guard. Once the gate is open, head towards the path on the left.

Chapter 7: So Close, So Far

Island

Head right twice to find a crashed spaceship. Talk to the alien (Zeke) until you receive a nanitizer. Pick up the helmet next to Zeke. Behind the ship, move one of the dark leaves, then use your nanitizer on the blue glow. Trace a path from the dark square so that all squares are covered:

Use your helmet on the refined insimbium, then give the helmet to Zeke. Use the helmet on the ASSP, but you need to collect more. Go left and use your nanitizer on the blue glow. Trace a path from the dark square so that all squares are covered:

Alien Town

Climb down the ladder, then head right to the mountain and down the path to the left. Talk to the border guard. Once the gate is open, head towards the path on the left. Continue left through an arch, then enter the arena.

Chapter 8: Intergalactic Reporter

Arena

Talk to the guard on the right (Xelma) about everything, then talk to the spectator holding the flag on the left. Head left to the market square, then go along the path to the right (or use the map to travel).

Tavern Square

Talk to the alien in the window (Klarek) about everything. Now keep clicking on the sign above him Triangle of Truth. Now enter the bar on the left. Talk to the bartender (Mikk) to get an empty glass, then keep talking about everything else. Next talk to the alien with glasses (Beno) about everything. Go back outside and take the path up (or use the map to travel).

Gate

Talk to the border guard about everything. Go back down the path, then right to a new area.

Path to Ruins

Continue further to the right to reach some ancient ruins. Talk to the priest about everything and you will receive a scroll of chants.

Tavern Square

Head through the opening to the left into a new area.

Docks

Talk to the alien on the boat (Stipe). After he leaves, enter the house to the right. Take the empty basket, then continue right and take the machete from the wall. Head back outside, then go up to the shipyard on the left. Talk to the dockworker (Keef) about everything and you will receive a wrench-like tool. Also talk to the engineer about everything.

Arena

Talk to the merchant on the left (Zdenkka) about everything. Talk to the small alien child (McClockly) about everything.

Path to Ruins

Use your basket to collect some red berries. Use your machete to clear the overgrowth covering the doorway.

Arena

Go along the back alley, which is to the far right. Talk to the artist about everything, offering the berries as red paint, and you will get a portrait. Take the green mushrooms from the right. Return out of the alley, and enter the brewery. Talk to Sahti on the left about everything. Go over to the bulging pipe on the right and use your wrench-like tool on it. Take out the squeaky animal. Now turn the red valve anticlockwise to open it. Grab the jug from the right.

Path to Ruins

Examine the panel on the closed cave. You need to solve another puzzle where the numbers on the tiles must match the number of adjacent tiles:

You will automatically enter the cave. Go to the far right and head along the hallway. You need to solve another series of 3 puzzles where the numbers on the tiles must match the number of adjacent tiles, in order to reach the top of the area:

Pick up the strange object from the floor. Look at the sign on the right, then use each of the floating platforms to get back down to the bottom level and return left into the cave. Use your red stone artifact in the keyhole of the stone door. This will reveal one final tile puzzle to solve:

Enter the room and walk to the right. Use your squeaky animal on the squishy alien, then pick up the eggs from the nest.

Gate

Give your portrait to the border guard to get it notarized.

Tavern Square

Talk to Klarek about all the evidence you have collected. After the recap of events, show him your notarized portrait and you will get it signed.

Arena

Give the eggs to Zdenkka the merchant, then talk to her again. Buy the fire spirit catcher. Enter the arena and show your signed portrait to Xelma. Use the transport platform on the right.

Chapter 9: Katanga Race

Arena

Go right to the volunteers and talk to Elroy and click on both of the other volunteers. Now talk to Precious, Eggthor and Spykor about everything. Back on the main view of the inside of the arena, use your basket to collect some of the giant pile of smelly stuff from the bottom left. Head out through the gate and return outside.

Give the Kataloth poop to Zdenkka the merchant. Now you can talk to her and buy the flux compensator. Return into the arena and collect some more poop, then sell it to Zdenkka so you have 3 squishy eyes.

Tavern Square

Enter the bar on the left. Use your squishy eyes in the jukebox, then use the jukebox 10 times Deejay. Keep using it until you notice that the patrons are calm. Talk to Mikk about the recipe and the current song.

Arena

Talk to McClockly, then use your spirit catcher on the fire spirits. Enter the brewery on the right. Open the furnace hatch, then put the fire spirits inside. Talk to Sahti again about the recipe. Connect the right pipe to orange, and the left pipe to yellow. Now use your empty jug on the faucet to fill it with Fuxian ale.

Tavern Square

Enter the bar on the left. In your inventory, pour some Fuxian ale into your empty glass, then add the mushrooms. Give the glass of ale to Beno and you will receive his glasses.

Crooked Mountain

Go to the cliff and climb up the ladder in the tree. Give the glasses to Professor Zax, then give him the scroll of chants and he will translate it for you.

Path to Ruins

Go right and give the scroll to Priest Slomek Sweet Dreams.

Arena

Enter the brewery on the right. Connect the right pipe to green, and leave the left pipe on yellow. Use your empty jug on the faucet to fill it with a powerful stimulant. Go back outside, then enter the arena and use the platform on the right. Go to Precious and give her the scroll of sacred meditation chants. Next go to Spykor and give him the jug of powerful stimulant. Leave the arena again.

Docks

Head up to the shipyard and give the flux compensator to the engineer. Now examine the circuit connections. You need to move mirrors around on a series of 3 separate circuit boards to guide the light through the orange power hole, then the target gate:

Head down the path to the docks, then into the house on the right. Examine the map on the far right wall. Use your crystal on the mysterious cylinder to activate it. Talk to the guards to learn the correct combination. Go to the pillar and set the symbols as follows from top to bottom:

  • Water
  • Star
  • Moon
  • Sun
  • Rings

Chapter 10: Blood Moon

Wanderbrust Tower

Talk to Chauncey the robot and ask him to distract Little Joe, then select these lines:

  • (any first line)
  • Pa... Bessie the cow has fallen ill.
  • Amanda will help us take Bessie to the veterinarian.
  • Yes, we have to hurry!

Head inside, then climb the stairs up to the 18th floor. Once you reach Wanderbrust's office, examine the stuffed animal in the shelves to the right. Enter the password Zarya, then save your game. Go through the secret passage. When given the final choice of the game, select one of the following:

  • Pull him No You Won't
  • Do nothing Learn to Forgive
  • Push him Rebel

Each option will lead to a different ending, and you can load your game and select different options to view each of them. There are several other final achievements that you can get at this point:
