Your Trailer
Look down, then up to rise from the sofa. Turn off the radio using the left button. Next look down to the right, then approach the broken clock in the corner of the room and open its door. Look down to open the drawer. Drag everything out from the drawer and put it on the floor, then the clock will be fixed. Look up twice, then back away from the clock.
Next turn right and approach the video intercom - there will be a message you cannot hear, with an incoming time of 2:59. Press the Saved button, then watch the message from 11:25, which is from a debt collector. Press the New button, then try to watch the message from 2:59 again.
Back out twice, then approach the fractal image over the sofa and click on the bottom of the picture frame. Drag the circles on the picture around until the time says 02:59, then press the silver button and you will hear "Message Unlocked". Back out and turn left, then go into the kitchen and approach the kitchen sink. Turn right and take the computer from the cereal box.
Make your way back to the video intercom. Press the New button, then watch the message from 2:59. Now use the socket at the bottom right to download the information to your computer. Click on your computer and view the Personal Finance tab (you will see your PIN is 4669), then go to Downloads. Flip through all of the notes, then look at the map to see the other locations you will visit. Close the computer.
On the video intercom, flip the bottom switch to TV. Press the vertical white button on the left 3 times, so you have highlighted the 4th TV station, then watch the Chaos lesson. Use the socket at the bottom right to download the lesson to your computer. Back out from the video intercom and a butterfly will fly past.
Go to the door and open it, and the butterfly will head outside. Follow it outside, then go forward twice to reach the lake. Use your computer to review the new message from your Uncle.
Lake
Turn right and go up the steps. Press the red button, but nothing happens. Look up to the left, and you will see the butterfly starting up the wind turbine. Look back down and press the red button to get inside.
Turn left to meet the assistant. Turn right, left and right again to step on her contact lens. Now head up to reach the weather station controls. Step forward, but the terminals are not active yet. Back out and turn left, then go forward to see the east/west temperature variance recorder. Go right to see the wind speed recorder (note that it currently says 10). Go right again to see the high/low temperature variance recorder. Go down to the right to return to the main terminals. Use your computer to review a new message from your Uncle.
Turn around and go forward to return to the ground level. Turn right and talk to the assistant twice. Turn left and press the red button to get back outside.
Go forward to the balloon, then get closer. Click on the end of the yellow tubing to attach it to the nozzle. Click on the small purple lever above the gauge so that it is horizontal. Next turn the valve on the gas canister and turn it off again when the gauge reaches 10. Now flip the small blue switch above the gauge. The balloon will fly up into the air.
Turn left, go forward towards the tunnel, then go forward through the tunnel, forward again and turn left. Go forward up the steps. Turn the valve to start water flowing. Press the yellow pin on the left to lock the bridge in its forward position. Now head forward twice to reach the rocket controls. Enter the wind speed of 10, then press the red Launch button.
Go down to turn around, then head forward 3 times, down to the left twice, forward, right and forward twice. Press the red button to enter the weather station again. Head up to return to the weather station controls. Use your computer to review a new message. Go to each of the other stations and select random values, then return to the main controls. Press each of the small blue buttons and try to access Weather Control, but you will see an error about "incorrect data resolution". Use your computer to review another 2 messages - there is a hint about a bath. Read through the notes in the Downloads section to find mention of a bath at 2:37 am. Head around the various stations in the same order and set them as follows (note the last digits):
- East/West Temperature Variance: 02
- Wind Speed: 10.063
- High/Low Temperature Variance: 07
Return to the main controls. Press reset, then press each of the small blue buttons and access Weather Control. Now wait until the image on the screen is icy/code, and drag the attractor from the left screen into the disc drive. You will automatically head down to the ground floor and talk to the assistant. Turn left and press the red button to go outside and cross the icy lake.
Radio Station
Look right to see the orange car, then look left and go forward to the doors, then forward again to head inside. Continue forward, then turn left twice and go up to the right. Talk to the DJ in the booth until he repeats himself. Back out twice, then continue forward and forward to the right.
Go right and you will look at the back of the jukebox. Here you will see 6 colored instrument plugs, and 4 red patch leads. If you insert the colored plugs on the left, you will see matching instrument symbols:
- Blue: Saxophone
- Brown: Drum
- Red: Bass Fiddle
- Purple: Harp
- Green: Snowflakes
- Yellow: Picture Frame
Plug in any 4 of the colored plugs. Insert all 4 red patch leads on the right, so they are all horizontal, connecting the Out and In ports. Turn left, then back out from the jukebox. Now you can look around to see the 6 instruments. Approach each instrument and tune them as follows:
- Saxophone: Click the panel to change it to red. Press the various stops to hear nice notes. Now click on the mouthpiece at the top. Press the various stops to hear terrible notes.
- Drum: Click the panel to change it to red. Press various parts of the drum to hear tapping sounds. Turn the cream-colored handle beneath the drum surface. Now press various parts of the drum to see it deform when you play it.
- Bass Fiddle: Click the panel to change it to red. Try clicking the middle of the instrument, but it won't make any noise. Drag the 2 strings out to the sides so they attach to the large spindles. Now drag the top parts of the strings so they attach to the smaller top spindles - the strings will shape into a star pattern. Now press various parts of the instrument to get different noises.
- Harp: Click the panel to change it to red. Drag the strings and let them go to hear nice notes. Drag the smallest string a long way from the instrument and let it go, then the strings will turn into leaves. Now press the leaves to hear terrible notes.
- Snowflakes: Click the panel to change it to red. Click on the 4 snowflakes to hear musical notes. Time your clicks for when they are completely off, and they will break. Break all 4 of the snowflakes. Now when you click you will hear terrible notes.
- Picture Frame: Click the panel to change it to red. Press on the fractal image to hear musical notes. Click on both curves on the sides of the frame. Now press on the fractal image to see it deform when you play it.
Return to the jukebox and look at the back again. Press all the Play buttons to the right of the musical staves, and you should hear the sounds you play on all 4 instruments after tuning them (if any are missing, go and play them again now, then return). Now press the main play button at the bottom to hear them together. Press the record button and you will automatically take your hit record to the DJ - he will say to not come back until you're really broke.
Use your computer to review another message from your Uncle. Head up to the left, then forward to leave the radio station. Turn left and use the car.
Take the Coast Road
Press the red emergency button. Wait for knocking on the door, then turn left. After the conversation, turn right, and you will be towed to the gas station.
Turn right to meet the pump attendant. Enter your PIN of 4669, then ask for 5 pellets (based on the number of markings on your petrol gauge). Turn left and press the green ignition button on the left. Now press on the small button below the Navigraph to bring up a map display. Zoom in or out until you find a gas station 5 squares to the right, then click to travel there.
Repeat these steps until you reach a cross-roads at the end of the highway. Turn right and press the button to get 2 pellets. Turn left and click on the tree sign.
Forest
Use your computer to review another message from your Uncle. Step forward, then turn right to meet Ranger Beth. Talk to her until she repeats herself. Take a litter bag. Use the CD in your inventory and pay attention to the percentages on the wall behind Beth. Turn left twice and take a map. Turn right and head forward through the gate.
Click on the map to open it. Now wander around the forest and pick up 16 pages from the ground - these are randomly scattered, so just make sure you follow all paths and look in all directions. Once you have all 16 (you can check by clicking on your litter bag), go to the hut at the top right of the map.
After briefly meeting the professor, turn right to head inside. Turn right again and click on your litter bag to place the 16 pages on the table. Drag 4 pages with matching symbols onto the screen, then press the Scan button - the pages will turn into shapes. Drag the shapes round to match one of the patterns at the top of the screen, then press the Scan button again. Repeat this for all 4 groups of pages.
Now you need to set the four percentages across the top to the same ones you saw behind Beth (9, 42, 22, 27). Now use the handle on the left of the screen. After talking again, turn around and climb up the ladder. Turn right and pick up the seeds. Now turn left and walk forward into the sky - you will end up catching a ride in a hot air balloon.
My Estate
Turn left and go forward, then turn left 3 times to see Jenkins. Click on him to be told your uncle is at the hospital. Turn right 3 times, then go forward twice to return to your car.
Turn right and press the button to get 2 pellets. Turn left and click on the hospital sign.
Hospital
Go forward, then turn right and go forward again to meet the nurse. Talk to her, then click on her until she repeats herself. Turn left and use the terminal here. Click on Uncle Prospero, then enter the PIN 4669 - he needs $15000 for treatment, but you don't have enough. Back out and turn right, then talk to the nurse again. Turn right twice and the debt collector will take all of your money.
From now on, you can use the map in your computer to travel to all the places you have previously visited.
Radio Station
Go and play all of the instruments again. Return to the jukebox and change at least one of the instrument plugs, then record a new track - you will receive $1500.
My Estate
Head left, forward, and forward to the right, then use the terminal. Log on and go to Current Trading, then enter your PIN of 4669 to see you have a balance of $1500. Save your game. Choose a stock and an investment amount, then try to buy at a low value and sell at a high value. Repeat this until you have at least $22000. Click the Log Off button at the top right when you are done.
Hospital
Go inside and talk to the nurse. Turn left and use the terminal again, clicking on Uncle Prospero and entering the PIN of 4669. Back out and turn right, then talk to the nurse again. Turn right twice and the debt collector will collect the rest of what you owe him. Back away, turn right and head through the doorway. Go left, then continue forward through the blue doors.
Turn left to see the audience laughing at you, then turn right again. Click on the doctor to talk again, then look through the goggles. Turn on the power. Attach the left paddle to the top left of the chest, and the right paddle to the top right of the chest, then press the red button. Adjust the positions of the paddles and press the red button until the readout says "Stable". Back out and talk to the doctor until he leaves.
Lake
Go up and use the main terminals. Wait until the image on the screen is sunny/hot, and drag the attractor from the left screen into the disc drive. Back out, turn around, and then go forward twice and press the red button to head outside.
Go forward twice so you are looking down at the dirt next to the balloon platform. Use the seeds here, then take a leaf from the plant and it will die.
My Estate
Turn left twice and talk to Jenkins. Turn right and then left again, and he will be gone. Walk forward twice and click on the plant to take a leaf. Go upstairs, left and forward, then use the microscope on the left. Save your game. Click on both leaves and they will each add 3 microbes to the slide - pay attention to which microbes come from each leaf. Use the probes to move the microbes around, combining pairs of microbes (one from each leaf). One specific combination will result in creation of the serum that you need.
Hospital
Head inside and go back to the operating theater. After the doctor leaves, click on the syringe to fill it with serum, and you will pick it up. Look through the goggles again and turn on the power. You will now see your Uncle's nervous system. Point the syringe at the part where signals stop, and inject some of the serum here. Repeat this twice more at the new places where the signal stops. Back out.
Use your computer to view a message from Jenkins, and pay attention to Prospero's PIN, which is 2206.
My Estate
Head left, forward, and forward to the right, then use the terminal. Log on and go to Long Term Portfolio Management, then enter your Uncle's PIN of 2206 to see he has a balance of $4000. Now you need to look at all of the available data for each of the portfolio options, and enter the following investment plan:
- Macrohard: (blank)
- Orange Inc: 78
- Micromessage: 50
- T&AT: (blank)
- HAL: 25
Now press the Run button at the top, followed by the Status button at the bottom. Now log off. After Uncle Prospero talks, click on him again. Once he leaves, walk forward.
