Entry
Leave the elevator and go around to the right. Pick up a safety wrench from the shelves on the left, then approach the door. Use the safety wrench on the red bolts to remove the panel. Now you need to touch several nodes to get the lights to come on - just touch the ones highlighted below:
Head through the main gate. Go up to the central platform, where there are a number of terminals that you cannot use yet. Read the Reactor Access Protocol document on the clipboard to the left of the main terminal - this gives you your list of tasks to complete.
Power Supply
Turn around and look to the left of the door where you entered, then pick up a blue keycard from on top of a brown box on a crate. Next head up the stairs and find a red keycard on top of a brown box on a barrel. Turn to the right to find a small control panel at the top of the stairs, and press the red button.
Go back down to the main floor. Look in a red crate in some shelving to find a wire cutter. Now continue down the stairs on the other side of the room. Open the panel at the end of the walkway and use your wire cutter on the red wire. Take note of the authorization code written on the fan that stops in front of you. Also take note of the skull symbol on the far wall.
Return up to the main floor and look at the console in the right of the central platform. You need to flip switches corresponding to the symbols that appear on the walls at the marked locations:
Turn around and approach the console on the left of the central platform (with the sticky notes). Insert your red keycard and enter the code 8510, then press the bottom-left button to program it for the power supply room. Go up the stairs and insert the red keycard next to the door, then go through.
Power Supply Room
Enter the room and take the green Energy Tube B from the crate on the right. Cross the room and pick up the orange Energy Tube D and pink Energy Tube A from the far corner. Turn right and find the red Energy Tube E and blue Energy Tube C in the other part of the room.
Return to where you entered the room and examine the Power Supply Activation Instructions poster on the wall. Next go to the conductivity scanner machine in the corner of the room. Insert each of the energy tubes to see their charge values:
- Pink: 3
- Green: 8
- Blue: 25
- Orange: 10
- Red: 2
Go to the main control panel and insert the pink, green and blue energy tubes, which add up to a total charge of 36. Pull the small lever down in the bottom-right section. Now look at the panel just to the left - you need to activate the correct number of lights in each row. Back out from the control panel and look to the left. There are 4 square panels on the walls with red buttons and surrounding letters. Press the red buttons that are highlighted below:
Return to the main control panel and pull the small lever in the bottom-left section. Now focus on the top-right section, where there are a series of 6 switches. Follow the cable from each of them and see whether the attached device is powered on or off, then set the switches appropriately:
Pull the small lever in the top-right section. Once the next panel opens to the right, pull the red handle inside to restore the power supply. Return out to the main floor.
Pressurization
Approach the console on the left of the central platform (with the sticky notes). Insert your blue keycard and enter the code 0415, then press the bottom-left button to program it for the compressor room. Go over to the door beneath the stairs and insert the blue keycard next to the door, then go through.
Compressor Room
Go around to the right and pick up the blue Transmission Module 1 from on top of a group of barrels. Continue further around to get the brown Transmission Module 2 from a blue barrel, and the orange Transmission Module 3 from some shelves. Read the Operations Manual on the desk. Using the information contained within, you need to identify the compressor in the room:
- Cylinders: 3
- Gauge: Circle
- Connecting Rods: ROD-TRC
Based on page 1.1, you are dealing with either CL-23 IRBIS or GD-15 IRIS. Go to the main compressor controls and look at the left portion, then press the red rectangular button. Watch the manometer gauge as you move the slider on the left into the red, yellow and green zones. Based on this, you now know that you have a GD-15 IRIS model compressor. From page 2.1, you now know you need the following:
- Drive Module: DM2
- Coolant Level: 9L
- Electrical Circuit: 2
Go back to the main compressor controls and insert the brown Transmission Module 2 at the top right. Head around to the cooling system and use the controls to submit 9L of coolant. Go back to the manual and turn to page 2.4, then take note of pattern 2. Turn around and approach the electrical circuit adjustment unit on the wall. Set the numbers as follows:
Now press the red button on the right. Go back to the main compressor controls and turn the red dial on the right until all lights are active. Now turn each of the black dials beneath it so all lights are active. Finally press the red button to power up the compressor. Return out to the main floor.
Reactor Access
Approach the central console on the central platform, and enter the 3 codes:
- INIT: 7086 (on the wall in the main room)
- AUTH: 0649 (on the fan you stopped in the power supply room)
- EXEC: 4023 (on the right console screen in the main room)
Press the green button. Now you need to enter the code BLACKOUT using the new set of controls. Each time you select a letter, you will blackout 3 adjacent letters so they cannot be used, so you must be careful about which letters you choose each time. This is the sequence of 8 letters you need:
Go through the set of new doors that open ahead of you, then you need to pass a series of 6 tests. There are 3 types of tests, and they will appear in a random order:
- Motion Detection Scan
Just remain still while the beams travel down and back up again.
- Randomized Beam Detector
Stand in a position to avoid the fixed lasers that shoot from the walls.
- Weight Detection Plates
Stand on one of the pressure plates that is not listed as being active.
Once you pass all 6 tests, you can continue through the next doors.
Reactor Chamber
Go around to the far side of the room and look at the console on the left. You are shown a maze that you need to navigate in order to reach the star. There are closed doors (blue, green and red), and there are switches you can use to open them. To get through the maze, open the blue door, then red and blue again. Use the manual release at the end of the maze to restore coolant flow.
Next look at the coolant rods. There are a set of 7 rods with some controls on the right. You just need to use the controls to place the coolant rods in the correct positions, as indicated by the letters on the rods and slots.
Now go to the vertical calibration system. Here you need to use the controls on the left to rotate the whole device, then slide the 4 visible pistons up or down, so that they all end up displaying green.
Head around to the main control panel on the side of the reactor. Press the small red button to open the cover, then push in the large red button SAVE THE WORLD.
Evacuation
Go and flip the lever near the exit door, but it won't work and you have 3 minutes to solve the final puzzle on the console that is revealed to the right. You will be shown a roman numeral and one of the corners around it will be highlighted. Find a matching plaque in the reactor chamber and then enter the matching symbol on the console. Repeat this another 3 times. The correct symbols are random with each game. Flip the lever again and it will work this time. Go through the doors and enter the elevator.
