Penny Dreadfuls: Sweeney Todd is a combination point-and-click and hidden object game. The story is based on the Broadway musical of the same name, revolving around a murderous barber and his baker girlfriend. You take the role of a police officer investigating the murders.

Chapter 1

Watch Lane

Pick up the map piece from the road, then look in the horse carriage and find the required items to get a crest tile. Look at the police station door and insert your crest tile, then rotate the pieces in the puzzle and head inside.

Insert your map piece into the map on the left wall, and you will now have access to a map of London. Pick up the lantern from the ground, then look at the desk on the right and find the required items to get a whistle. Look at the newspaper on the chair and take the coin, then go back outside.

Look in the horse carriage again and find the required items to get some fire bellows. Now use the map.

Lime Wharf

Pick up the pipe on the left and the ladder from the main jetty. Look in the pile of nets and find the required options to get a cannon ball. Now go up the stairs on the right.

Look at the bird on the right and scare it away with your whistle, then pick up the stone and the egg. Next look at the window and use your stone to break it so you can take the job poster. Now look at the basket on the left and put in your cannon ball to weight it down, then go forward into the building.

Pick up the rag from the table and the lump of coal from the left. Look in the fireplace and put the coal on the pile, then use your bellows to start a fire. Now look in the shelves and find the required items to get the sailor's hat.

Solve the jigsaw to complete the chapter.

Chapter 2

Baker's Court

Enter the bakery and look at the display case. Find the required items and you will get some matches. Also pick up the mug from the back shelf. Look at the sugar bowl on the left and take off the lid, then pick up the coin. Go back outside.

Look at the dark wall on the left. Hang your lantern on the hook and light it with your matches. Now look at the wall and find the required items to get a rose emblem.

Piccadilly Square

Take the fan from the bench on the right, then enter the tailor shop. Pick up the umbrella. Look behind the curtains and find the required items to get some scissors. Next look at the mannequin on the right and use your scissors on its pocket, then take the rose emblem. Look at the desk on the left and talk the chalk, then leave the shop.

Go through the gate into the garden. Look at the fountain on the right. Use your mug in the water, then pick it up again and also take the gate handle that you see there. Next look at the stone disc on the left. Insert your two rose emblem pieces, then turn the petals that appear so that no two are overlapping. Once you have done this, pick up the purse. Attach the gate handle to the gate, turn the handle, and look at the statue behind it. Find the required items and you will get a penny.

Baker's Court

Enter the bakery and look at the cash register. Use the chalk and then the rag on the register. Insert your 3 pennies in the slots. Now move the numbers slightly to reveal underlying shapes; count the number of sides or points on the shapes and that indicates the number that should be in its place. Swap the numbers correctly and the register will open. Look at the register and take the invitation.

Solve the jigsaw to complete the chapter.

Chapter 3

Piccadilly Square

Go through the gate into the garden. Look at the statue and find the required items to get a fish.

Bell Tower

Look at the side of the church; it is too high to see inside. Put your ladder against the wall and try again. Now use your scissors to clear the vines. Look in the window and find the required items to get a book.

Lime Wharf

Give your fish to the cat, then pick up the lens from the spyglass it drops. Head right up the stairs and into the building. Look at the shelving and find the required items to get the wig.

Junk Street

Take the scoop from the bin on the right. Look at the window of the junk shop and use your rag to clean it, then look at it again. Find the required items to get a fishing rod. Enter the pawn shop.

Use your scissors on the Jolly Roger flag on the right to get a piece of it. Pick up the cross from the bottom right, then look at the desk. Use your lens on the lamp, then look at the desk again and find the required items to get a book. Look at the bookshelf and insert your two books. Now rearrange the books to complete the sums correctly. Once you have done this, look at the books on the floor. Open the top book and take the incense.

Lime Wharf

Look in the water on the left. Use your fishing rod, then take the priest's robes.

Bell Tower

Look at the main door. Use the incense in the burner, then use your matches on the incense. Open the door and head inside.

Look in the confessional on the left and find the required items to get some organ keys. Look at the organ and attach the keys, then press the keys and take the candle that appears. Next look at the altar and place your candle in the empty space. Now complete the puzzle by placing the tallest candle in the Sunday symbol's space, down to the shortest candle in the Saturday symbol's space, using the guide on the right. Look in the altar and take the hip flask.

Solve the jigsaw to complete the chapter.

Chapter 4

Junk Street

Enter the pawn shop and look at the desk. Find the required items to get a lockpick.

Fleet Street

Take the wheel from next to the barbershop. Look at the coffee cart and use your lockpick on the lock. Look in the cart and find the required items to get some milk.

Piccadilly Square

Enter the tailor shop. Look behind the curtain and find the required items to get a needle and thread. Next look at the table. Place your piece of cloth (from the flag) on the table and use your needle and thread to make it into a bag. Pick up the bag.

Reagent Row

Take the crutch from the left, then look at the chest on the right and pick the lock with your lockpick. Look in the chest and find the required items to get some peanuts.

Enter the elixir shop. Look at the mortar and pestle on the desk. Put your peanuts inside and use it to make peanut butter. Remove the pestle and take the peanut butter. Look at the shelves above the scales and match the items with their appropriate prefixes as written. Pick up the lifeblood from the to pleft of these shelves. Now look at the other shelves on the back wall and find the required items to get a skull. Look at the scales and put the skull on the left and the lifeblood on the right, then that the boutonniere.

Guttersnipe Alley

Attach your wheel to the wheelbarrow, then take the wheelbarrow. Use your crutch on the tent. Look in the tent and find the required items to get a boot. Try to open the door, but there is a wasp's nest stopping you. Throw your boot at it, then use your bag to get rid of it, then open the door and go inside.

Look at the barrel towards the left and pour your milk inside. Click on the frog 3 times to both get the frog and turn the milk into butter. Use your scoop to get some butter, and pick it up. Look at the junk table and find the required items to get a mouse trap.

Reagent Row

Look at the mouse hole on the front of the elixir shop. Put the mousetrap on the ground here, then add your peanut butter. Take the naval medal from the hole.

Baker's Court

Enter the bakery. Look at the display case and find the required items to get a slice of pie.

Chapter 5

Bell Tower

Look in the window above the ladder and find the required items to get a door knocker.

Mr Fogg's Asylum

Look in the carriage and find the required items to get a drinking glass. Now look at the door to the asylum. Attach your door knocker, then you must complete another puzzle. The knockers are numbered 51342 from left to right, and you must pull them in the order 12345.

Look inside and find the required items to get a screwdriver. Now look at the stone on the right beneath the statue. Use your screwdriver, then pick up the lime brick.

Reagent Row

Enter the elixir shop. Look at the mortar and pestle on the desk. Put your lime brick inside and use it to make lime plaster. Remove the pestle and take the lime plaster. Now look at the back shelf and find the required items to get a rolling pin.

Lime Wharf

Look at the pile of nets and find the required items to get some mystery meat.

Baker's Court

Look at the wall on the left and find the required items to get a service bell. Next look at the puddle on the ground. Use your lime plaster, then your mug, then your fan. Pick up the barbershop keys.

Head inside and look at the counter. Put your service bell on the counter and ring it. Now look in the dumbwaiter on the left. Put your egg, butter and mystery meat in there, and use the lever. Look at the counter and ring the bell again.

Junk Street

Look in the window and find the required items to get a barbershop pole.

Fleet Street

Look at the barbershop door and attach your barbershop pole to the handles. Now look at the door and insert your keys. Using the information on the pole on the left, turn the red key twice, the white key once and the blue key 3 times. Turn the door handle and the door will open. Head inside.

Look at the barber's chair and take Mr Fogg's card. Next look at the bottles on the right. Use your screwdriver to pry open the drawer and take the poison bottle. Look at the dresser and find the required items to get a razor.

Baker's Court

Enter the bakery and look at the pie in the dumbwaiter. Use your razor on it, then take the locket.

Solve the jigsaw to complete the chapter.

Chapter 6

Piccadilly Square

Enter the tailor shop and use your razor on the sheep, then take the wool.

Guttersnipe Alley

Go inside and look at the teddy bear on the pillow. Fix it with your wool, then pick it up. Now look at the junk table and find the required items to get a clothespin.

Mr Fogg's Asylum

Look inside and find the required items to get a skull key.

Fleet Street

Look in the coffee cart and find the required items to get an oil can. Enter the barbershop and look at the dresser, then find the required items to get a shaving brush.

Junk Street

Enter the pawn shop and look at the helmet on the suit of armor. Use your oil can on both of the bolts, then remove both bolts and both eyes (marbles).

Reagent Row

Enter the elixir shop. Look at the green bottle of acid on the left shelf. Dip your shaving brush in the acid, then take it again.

Fleet Street

Go into the barbershop again. Look at the door and use your shaving brush on the skull lock. Insert your two marble eyes, then use your skull key. Turn the key to reveal a puzzle. Listen out for a different sound when you click the various parts of the puzzle, and you should be able to press out the shape of a large key in the middle of the grid. Put the teddy bear in the trap, then go through the door.

Open the wardrobe and look inside. Find the required items to get a walking cane. Now look at the chest on the left. Move the colored balls into their correct positions by sliding the pieces around. Now look in the chest and find the required items to get a sewer key. Go back downstairs.

Look at the floor behind the barber's chair. Put the walking cane in the hole and lift it up, then take the apron.

Watch Lane

Use your wheelbarrow on the rubbish pile on the left, then look at the gate. Use the sewer key on the lock and go inside.

Take the wrench from the small box on the left. Look in the crate and find the required items to get a valve. Now look at the pipes on the right. Attach your valve and turn it twice, then head through the archway.

Pick up the shackles from the ground on the left. Look at the table and find the required items to get some gloves. Look next at the sacks of flower on the right. Use your razor and take the goggles. Look up at the jet of steam. Insert your two bolts and tighten them both with your wrench. Now turn each of the handles to stop the gauges in the green zones (you have to get all 4 done to solve this puzzle).

Look at the oven, then use your gloves to open the door. Take the meat cleaver.

Solve the jigsaw, then trap Todd to complete the game.
