Chapter 1

Huber Farm

After the introduction, open the bag to get the wallet, letters and a knife. Look at these items and everything else in your inventory. Turn around and click on the table to write a letter to Grace, then read the newspaper. Read the note near the door, then take the keys from beneath the mirror.

Head outside and to the right. Walk to the water trough and look down at the mud to see a paw print. Go towards the woods and pick up the hair from the grass. Next go to the shed and mix some cement, then go back to the trough to pour cement on the print. You will automatically go back and empty your bucket - go back and get the cast afterwards. Go to your car and use the keys on it to drive.

Zoo

Read the sign, then look at the wolf, but it won't come over to you. Talk to Thomas, who gives you more information about the wolves. Head left and talk to Dr Klingmann in his office. While you are here, look at the walkie-talkie on his desk.

Marienplatz

Go to the left and into the office building to see your solicitor. Talk to him about everything, then leave. Outside, look at the meet shop and try to talk to the shop owner.

University

Show your paw print to the scientist to find out the size of the wolf, and then show him the wolf hair for more information.

Huber Farm

Click on your tapes. Load Dr Klingmann's tape into A and a blank tape into B. Splice the following words from A to B: "Thomas? Herr Doktor Klingmann here. Show our wolves to Mr Knight." Click transfer to complete the tape.

Zoo

Head back to Klingmann's office and he should be gone. Search his coat to find a receipt, then examine it in your inventory. Next search the desk, but you won't find anything. Use your spliced tape on the walkie-talkie, and you will be taken in to see a wolf up close. Click on the wolf's tag, then on the fur to get a sample.

University

Give the new fur sample to the scientist to get another report.

Huber Farm

Hold the receipt up in front of the mirror to get an address.

Marienplatz

Visit your solicitor again, and talk to him so he translates the meaning of the receipt, and about the address on the back of the receipt, which is at 54 Dienerstrasse. Walk to the far right of Marienplatz to find Dienerstrasse. On the first screen, go to a building on the right to post your letter to Grace. Next go north one screen and enter the next building on the right - the Hunting Club. Inside, talk to the desk clerk. Say you are a hunter, and you will be asked to provide evidence of your ancestry. Go back to your solicitor and ask for some Ritter Papers. You will be told to come back later.

Police Station

Try to talk to the Commissar, but you won't be allowed in yet.

Marienplatz

See you solicitor to get the family tree, then go and show this to the desk clerk at the Hunting Club.

Now open the wardrobe and head through the secret passage. Continue to the right to find Gerde's bedroom. Look at Wolfgang's photograph on the small table, then open the wardrobe and take the library key before heading back to Gabriel's room.

Use the key to open the library door. Look at the books on the middle bookshelf to find one on werewolves - you will also discover a letter in the book. Next look at the books on the right to find Victor Ritter's journal, and again to find Christian Ritter's journal. Read all 3 books and the letter in your inventory. Sit down at the desk and look at Gabriel's failed novel attempts on the left. Now use the business card from your inventory on the phone to call for some advice.

Rittersberg

Go back to the Town Hall and ask for some trial records - you will eventually get to see the dungeons. Look through the window to see the church, then examine the small bed. Leave the dungeon and talk to Herr Huber in the inn again. Next go back and talk to the Mayor once more, and he will give you a note to give to Father Getz. Enter the church and give your note to the priest, and you will receive the church records. Give these to the Mayor for a translation.

Schloss Ritter

Go straight to the library and use the typewriter to compile your research. Show this to Gerde downstairs to get Gabriel's address.

Rittersberg

Go to the door left of the inn to find the post office. Press the buzzer to the right of the window to get the postmistress's attention. Give her the research package, then use your wallet to pay her.

Go through to the main lodge area and down the side passage to find a locked door and a back entrance. Go outside and approach the police car across the street. Try to talk to Commissar Leber, then show him the evidence report from the university. Since he's not interested, show the evidence to the news reporter.

Police Station

Talk to Leber about everything. Look at the map on the wall, then at the note. Use your notebook on the note, then leave the station.

Visit Baron von Glower and talk to him, then look at the mask on the bookcase behind you.

Huber Farm

Use the page from your notebook on the phone, then write a letter to Grace.

Marienplatz

Post your letter at the post office, then go to the Hunting Club. Put your clock in the plant next to the locked door, then go to the front desk, and the desk clerk will go to answer the knocking. Open the desk drawer and take the keys. Go and unlock the locked door with the keys. Now pick up the clock and replace it behind the plant again. Go back to the front desk and when the clerk leaves a second time, put the keys back in the drawer. Enter the previously locked room and look at the photos and the notebook on the altar. Talk to von Zell about everything.

Perlach

Talk to von Glower again.

Marienplatz

Return to the Hunting Club and talk to everyone that you can. When you talk to the men on the left, you have the option to pick up a magazine. Do this, and put your tape recorder inside it. Talk to the men to replace the magazine.

Give the roses to Gerde in the crypt and you will receive the keys for the car.

Schloss Ritter

Use the keys on the car, and you now have access to many more locations.

Herrenchiemsee

Talk to the lady at the desk and buy a ticket from her. Look at everything throughout the museum, including a reference to Ludwig's diary in a case beneath a portrait of Wagner on a side wall. Go back and talk to the lady at the front about the diary.

Look around the museum at everything, and before you leave talk to Georg at the front desk.

Rittersberg

Go to the inn and talk to Herr Huber about the Smiths, then talk to them about your dream.

Schloss Ritter

Gerde will tell you about a phone call from Barclay. Head upstairs and into the library, and sit down at the desk. Use Barclay's card on the phone to call him back. Next look at the new note in your inventory, then use the note on the phone to call Barclay's contact Dallmier.

Get your fax from the post office, and read it.

Wagner Museum

Show the fax to Georg.

Chapter 5

Marienplatz

Head to the Hunting Club and pick up your tape recorder from the magazine table. Next, visit your solicitor to receive a letter from Grace, and read the letter. Talk to your solicitor about missing persons, then give him your tape to get a translation.

Police Station

Talk to Leber and play the tape for him. When he leaves the room, quickly look at Grossberg's ledgers on his desk.

Marienplatz

Have a look at the page you tore from the ledgers. Buy the Weiss Wurst from the meat shop outside your solicitor's office.

Buchenau

Knock on the door and talk to Dorn - he wants money.

Marienplatz

Visit your solicitor and get lots of money from him.

Buchenau

Knock on the door and give your money to Dorn, then talk to him. Walk away from Dorn to the bottom of the screen, then look at last cage on the right. Touch the straw in the right of the cage, but the tiger will get annoyed. Give the meat to the tiger, then touch the straw again to get the wolf tags. Look at them in your inventory.

Marienplatz

Go to the Hunting Club, and you will join the others in the trip to the Lodge.

Hunting Lodge

After the cutscene, look out the window and down at the ledge. Go back out to the hall. Head through the middle door on the left and talk to Von Aigner, who is in the bath. Next enter Priess' bedroom on the far right, and open the wardrobe to find some rope. Open the window here and look down. Use the rope on the ledge to head outside, then enter Von Zell's window (the next one along). Look at the bath mat and the footprint, then look at the diary next to the bed. Take the letter from the back of the diary, then climb back out the window and into Priess' room again.

Go downstairs and talk to Hennemann. Open the cupboard and take the lamp. Head back upstairs and enter Klingmann's room (near left). Show him the wolf tags and he will talk to you. Try to talk to Von Glower in his room (near right) but he is too busy. Head downstairs again and the fire will now be lit. Take the matches from above the fireplace, then head outside and enter the stables. Take the shears from the wall. Now enter the woods.

On the first screen, look at the wolf paw print in a dark orange patch of dirt. Head south, east and south again to find some more paw prints, this time in dry orange dirt. Use the shears on the bush here to reveal a cave. Look at the small dark hole and you will crawl inside. Use the matches on the lamp to reveal what is here. After the cutscene, head back to the lodge (north, west, north, west). Go inside and upstairs, and talk to Von Glower in his room. After you are left alone in the woods, go north, east, east, south and south to find the ravine. When Von Glower throws the rifle to you, shoot the wolf.

Chapter 6

Rittersberg

Look at the pigeon in the window, then at Gabriel in the bed.

Neuschwanstein

Head towards the grotto. The guard will be distracted when a child stands on a chair in the next room. When there is no guard around, examine the boulder to the bottom left of the grotto to get the first act of the opera.

Schloss Ritter

Go up to the bedroom and take a pillow case from the end of the bed.

Rittersberg

Enter the pub and talk to Mrs Smith, then take a bread roll from the table. Head down to the dungeon and use the bread roll to entice the pigeon inside, then use the pillow case to catch it.

Altotting

Enter the church and look at everything in the entry, including the silver body part offerings. Enter the priest's office and try to talk to him, but instead he will give you a card. Look at the card in your inventory. Now look at the box on the table and use your wallet on it to make a donation and get some holy water.

Neuschwanstein

Go to Singer's Hall. Release the pigeon through the doorway to the left, then examine the low panel behind where the guard normally stands over on the right, and you will get a second opera act. Next head to the living room and pour water on the chair. Head through the doorway into the bedroom and examine the low panel behind where the guard normally stands to get the third scroll.

Rittersberg

Go to the crypt at the back of the church and you will find a silver heart on Wolfgang's tomb. Visit Gerde at Schloss Ritter and talk to her, then return to the crypt and get the heart. Go to the Post Office and get the Baron's letter to Gabriel. Read this in your inventory, then go to the pub and talk to Mrs Smith again.

Altotting

Return to see the priest, and show him your silver heart. In the chapel, place your heart in the box to the right of the priest. Look at the heart urns and the chair on the right. Walk to the right and open the door here to extinguish the candles. Now climb on the chair and take the lower left urn to get plans of the theatre.

Wittelsbacher Theatre

Take an opera program from the table and read it. Head upstairs and check out the room at the end of the corridor, containing a spotlight. Look through each of the other doorways to see they lead to balconies overlooking the theatre. Go back downstairs then head over to the right and through the left door down to the basement. Head south to find the furnace, then go west 3 times and north twice. Open the panel on the wall and take the key hanging here. Next go south and west, and open the door to the left. Head left and pick up the Private sign. Leave the prop room and lock the door behind you with the key.

From here, go north and west up the stairs to reach the backstage area. Pick up the rope from behind the workmen. Go back to the entry area and go through the main double doors into the theatre auditorium. Talk to Georg then exit again. Head right and go through the door at the end of the hall to find the office. Talk to Gabriel and he will tell you he is cold. Look at the desk and take the glasses and "to do" list. Also grab the seating plan on the noticeboard.

In your inventory, look at Wagner's chandelier diagram and click on the X, then look at the seating plan and click on the middle box. Leave this room and go out to the foyer. Climb the stairs and go through the double doors to reach the middle box. Return to the spotlight room and switch on the light. Look out through the window to see where the spotlight is currently shining. Now grab the handle beneath the spotlight and move it to point to the middle box. Go downstairs and give the seating plan to Paul in the foyer. Enter the auditorium and talk to Georg again, then talk to the workmen fixing the chandeliers up on the left.

Back down in the basement, open the door to the furnace and put some coal inside. Press the red button to start the pilot light, then turn the lever to the right to light a fire. Go back to see Gabriel in the office and talk to him, then you will automatically move him to the prop room and lock the door. When the guests arrive, head to the office and get changed into your dress.

Head out of the office and upstairs, into the spotlight room. Look through the window and click on the middle box, but you can't see well enough. Look at the box using your glasses to confirm Von Glower is there. Go to the double doors leading to the middle box and tie the handles with your rope. Now attach the private sign to the door.

As Gabriel, head to the left and move the large trunk to reveal a grate. Use the dagger on the grate to escape to the basement area. Go north twice, then west up the stairs. Take the black tape from near the rope, then head right into the dressing room. Take Engelbert's costume and wear it. Now look at the make-up and grab the powder. When the applause starts, quickly use the powder on the mirror, then hide behind the partition. When the actor is seated at the mirror, use the tape on him.

After the long cutscene, you need to chase Von Glower through the basement area using your sense of smell. Close the doors along the way so that he cannot get past you. You need to trap the Baron in the furnace room and follow him inside. After Grace and Leber appear, click on Grace and then the furnace. Next click on the grey wolf, then wait for the black wolf to jump and click on him.
